I fu*ks wit lil wayne the rapper...and even lil wayne when he gets on his t-wayne tip every now and then. Honestly I don't know if the rock album would have been good for his career or not. Granted it would have brought a new group of people into his fan base but he may have also lost a lot of his hip hop fans who think his rock music is too far of a stretch.
MTO is lame they must not know how many mixtapes Wayne drops and his track record and if the Album isn't gonna come out why would Wayne just make a video for Prom Queen...
