The insider, who asked that MediaTakeOut.com keep their name confidential, claims that Chris Brown has been using steroids for some time – and that it likely contributed to the attack. The source explained, “Chris started using steroids for his voice, and then he started using it more and more … I think he used it too much.”
The source continued, “There were definitely benefits to using [the steroids], like he got more muscular. But it also affected his temper … Everyone around him noticed it.”
And MediaTakeOut.com directly asked the insider whether they believed that the steroids were behind Chris’ attack on R&B singer Rihanna. The source replied, “Of course, Chris’ temper got crazy when he started taking [the steroids].”
Is the use of steroids to improve a singer’s voice common, you ask? Well MediaTakeOut.com spoke to a popular recording engineer who claims that many singer’s routinely use steroids to help their voice. The insider, who asked for anonymity, explained, “If a singer is on tour and their voice isn’t holding up, or if they have laryngitis – you give them a steroid shot, or they can use a spray. It will allow them to perform temporarily.” The insider continued, “Just about every artist I know has used it.”
It’s not clear what effect the “ROID RAGE” defense will play in the Chris Brown criminal trial. As MediaTakeOut.com reported to you earlier in the week, Chris’ attorney’s are working feverishly behind the scenes to work out a plea deal which would give NO JAIL TIME to the R&B singer. And, as we reported earlier in the week – our sources say that they are EXTREMELY close to a plea deal.
But Chris’ defense team might have another ace in the hole. Yesterday MediaTakeOut.com told you that Chris’ defense team postponed pleading NOT GUILTY to the offenses charged against him. That leaves open the possibility of Chris pleading NOT GUILTY BY REASON OF INSANITY – using ‘Roid Rage’ as his mental disease or defect. While it would be an unorthodox legal move, it could prove effective.

Roids was not the cause. Chris Brown maintained his goofy upbeat persona on the daily. Roids would of had him grumpy and aggitated 24/7. His outburst was due to his violent NATURE when made angry. Rhianna stated that his beatings got worse and worse as time went on. My guess is that she allowed it to get to that point because, in a sick way, these were the moment he was most "manly" to her. she probably liked it considering he was always immature, goofy and joking around. She probably knew deep down inside that he was too childish and immature for her and perhaps hated that part of him, considering she always comes off as the serious type and he was total opposite.

if he really was on steroids which I would not doubt for his voice, this defense is actually plausible.There are actually many cases of people who act crazy as hell when they have to take steroids or even medication to keep migraines at bay. I personally found that my migraine medication made me feel depressed and I have seen my bro act crazy after being in an accident and having to take steroids. The doc had to take him off after his gf told him something he didn't like and he choked her. She was shocked cause he never acted like that before. Chris does not have a history of abuse or violent behaviour and I always thought that there had to be something in the mix that caused him to go off like that. Plus knowing Rihanna who is also hotheaded and tempermental would have been like a time bomb in his head waiting to go off

Certainly, if someone takes the risk to use steroids to improve their performance in a sport or their physique, they have certain aggressive traits. Can steroids enhance them? Possibly. Can steroids be to blame for anti-social, psychotic, "roid-rage" type behavior? Probably not. The evidence just isn´t there to support that.
In fact, a landmark study was performed which examined different doses of testosterone administration on men aged 20-50, who had a variety of experience with steroids from having used them previously to not at all prior to the study. A variety of psychological tests were performed at the outset of the study as well as at the end. What was found was that no participant in the study had become violent as a result of the testosterone injections they had been receiving, although some said they felt more aggressive. This clearly indicates that there is a high level of control over possible violent or aggressive behavior that can result from steroid use. The researchers also noted that in terms of the psychological tests performed, some subjects showed little or no response to testosterone, with regards to psychological measures, while others experienced significant changes. He said, "see how you will get home now" before he left her stranded, beaten, bloody, and bitten. She doesn't know how to drive. 6. Help arrives (police) they take her to hospital. 7. She is released from hospital and goes back to Chris at the hotel. 8. The next day Chris turns himself in.......Rihanna meets up with family and goes to Barbados 9. Several days later Chris calls to wish her happy birthday and sends her lavish gifts. 10. She leaves Barbados to rest in Mexico. 11. She leaves Mexico and reunites with Chris at Diddy's Miami mansion. 12. They leave Diddy's mansion to hide out in Beverly Hills. 13. Chris appears and court and gets a new court date. 14. Rihanna declines legal protection from Chris and requests that he can see her.

After Chris Brown was charged with two felony counts on Thursday in connection with his alleged assault on girlfriend Rihanna, the next question became "Will Rihanna testify in the case?"
Brown, 19, was charged with assault and making criminal threats, which, if convicted, could land him more than four years in state prison. "The DAs are facing an uphill battle now if Rihanna isn't cooperating," Los Angeles defense lawyer and former prosecutor Steve Sitkoff told People magazine on Friday (March 6) about the alleged victim in the case, who reportedly reunited with Brown last weekend at a home owned by Diddy in Miami. "At this point, her cooperation can make or break the case. But the DAs may not need her if Brown is willing to strike a plea deal."
When asked if the singer is cooperating with the district attorney's office, Rihanna lawyer Donald Etra told MTV News, "At this point, she is willing to do anything that the law requires her to do. ... If subpoenaed, she will testify." Asked to confirm reports that the couple have reunited since the alleged February 8 incident, Etra said now is "neither the time nor the place to discuss their relationship."
Experts told People that prosecutors will almost certainly subpoena Rihanna as a witness but that she cannot be threatened with jail time if she refuses to take the stand.
Loyola Law School professor Stan Goldman said the DA's case could be jeopardized if Rihanna refuses to testify because her statements to police can only be used against him if she agrees to testify. Brown did not enter a plea at his arraignment on Thursday, where his lawyer, Mark Geragos, asked for a continuance in the case, postponing the singer's arraignment until April 6.
While Etra said Rihanna did not request a "no-contact" order, which would prevent Brown from talking to or spending time with her, the judge in the case did order Brown not to "annoy, harass, molest, threaten or use force or violence against anyone," which Etra said Rihanna thought was sufficient. He explained that the judge's order does not prevent the couple from having contact and that it will stay in place until either Brown or Rihanna challenges it.

I think there is more to this story. Granted he hit her, but there is always a layer of cause for effect. I don't agree with any form of violence whether it be by man or woman. If she hit him first she is just as bad as he is. Both of their injuries that they had on their face have healed very well and quickly. Rihanna could have left him with some scars and cuts and bruises as well, we just have not seen any photographic evidence. We have all seen Rihanna's because she was the one that went to the police station. I also think that they are both young and this will be a learning experience for the both of them. As for everyone slandering Chris Brown I feel that it is unfair that almost everyone is condemning him. Saying how much they hate him, he *** be forgiven and he will never change.
How can anyone say that someone can not be forgiven. GOD forgives everyone and if you are saying that you,(someone whom this situation did not happen to) can not forgive him then you are saying that you are better than GOD. Well said. I have unfortunately known two women killed by their "loved" ones. In both cases it escalated, no one knew in the beginning but towards the end people tried to help both of them. Both of these girls died horrible unspeakable deaths. One of the girls was found on the side of the West side highway here in NY stuffed in a suitcase (she left their daughter behind) he went to jail (probably still there), the other one was found by her mother. Can you imagine the pain of finding your child killed? I mean really the only one that could put a stop to this would be her, hopefully as you stated she will find out before it's too late.
