This is America! To some people who were not devoted fans or regular viewers this was simply a tv show. To others it has a deeper more sentimental value. It was the first positive non struggling family of color on television and it gave alot of people of color the standards and values they carry today. The Huckstables were the only family a whole generation of kids had growing up.
