There is no way a guy responsible for WBLS having to settle a lawsuit was supposed to be let back in the building, much less the studio.
When I heard that show, I laughed but I also knew nothing good would come of the interview.
Also a fired, former employee, was not supposed to be on the air.
Maybe this was Wendy's way of saying "F it!" and going out in a blaze of glory. Hope not. Her show is still funny but by having Big Kev on the show, I wonder if she voided her contract, allowing Inner City to get rid of her WITHOUT PAYING.

When I heard that show, I laughed but I also knew nothing good would come of the interview.

Maybe this was Wendy's way of saying "F it!" and going out in a blaze of glory. Hope not. Her show is still funny but by having Big Kev on the show, I wonder if she voided her contract, allowing Inner City to get rid of her WITHOUT PAYING.

Subterfuge, FocusFocus, and A Superior Mind, you all seem to make the most sense on this board. And I happen to think that you are absolutely right in your collective assessment about what really went down the other day and its aftermath.
Clearly, after the whole Nicole Spence/Kevin Hunter sexual harassment fiasco, Kevin was banned from the premises. And bringing in a former colleague who was fired from the station to gloat about his new gig with another station and blast past guests of the show (Monique, Bow Wow, Chingy) was in very poor taste. But then again, I guess that's the epitome of Wendy and her show -- to push the envelope and end up falling by the wayside. I think that's the case here.
I too was listening to the show Wednesday when they came on and when they all acted a fool. I wasn't surprised that she was suspended. As a matter of fact, she hurriedly made that announcement in the last seconds of the show. She said they were 'Taking my money and suspending me for two weeks,' or something to that effect. And you know, that's what she deserves for constantly disrespecting the WBLS management and the audience. It's a mistake though. Wendy may have a syndication contract with her TV deal, but it's not guaranteed. And she's making it very difficult for any other station in the NY area to want to pick her up should BLS decide it's had enough of this woman, who may have been a big ratings-getter in the past, but at the same time, has increasingly become a liability for the station.
Yes, I'm addicted to her show. But Wendy is also annoying, embarassing and rude all at the same time. So, I for one, would almost welcome the end of The Wendy Williams Experience. And judging by her TV show this past summer, I'm not entirely sure I'm going to make a point of watching that either. I just don't think she deserves my loyalty. So, whatever happens, let it be. Wendy made her bed by all of the bad choices she's made lately. So let her lie in it. |

I'm sure her husband was banned from the studio due to the sexual harassment lawsuit. Having him in the studio recently can expose the station to another law suit. Anyone he comes in contact with can say that he harassed them. Where was secutity? Why wasn't he escorted off of the premises? WBLS paid big bucks to settle that suit and they do not want another.
Wendy is no dummy. This was done purposely. She is on her way out and probably banking on her TV show. However in this economy, there is no such thing as a sure thing. She may have gotten an advance for the tv show but that may be all she gets. She is well liked in NYC but the rest of the country has not really embraced her. AS my family says, "you don't burn your bridges because you never know when you'll have to run back over that bridge!" I think we are hearing the last of Wendy on WBLS. |

I found out about MTO from listening to The Wendy Williams Show. I do believe she has part ownership in this site. And from some of the bad grammar and incorrect spelling I see on MTO headlines, I believe Big Kev writes some of their stories. MTO use to promote Wendy a lot. Never a bad thing would they say about her. Always complementing her attire etc. Meanwhile they would take the time to diss legit celebrities who looked good. Then when MTO realised their posters were on to them, suddenly they held back with the in your face Wendy promoting.
I always found it curious that Wendy use to go out of her way to mention (pretend) that she was not computer savvy. Also the ghetto tone of most of MTO stories point to hood rat Big Kev. I think that MTO is his real job!!!
Finally, ponder this.... why would someone with a college degree and can articulate for themself (per their own radio show)....have a manager who does not even have a college degree?
Tupac was wrong to say what he said about Wendy, mabey that's why he is dead. He was a poor example of a black man. The way he spewed venom about her made me think she hit a nerve when she called him gay. He probably was.

I love Wendy but when I figured out she was going to have her husband on the show, I knew it would be trouble. I was anxious to hear charlamagne. When i'm at work I listen to the show on my cell phone but I have to listen to another radio station since wbls enacted that new streaming system. The radio station stopped airing the show during the hour with the three of them but I was spontaneously listen via computer and I could see why she was suspended. Second, was allowing Charlemagne, a fired wbls employee, on the show to plug all his stuff.I really think Wendy has reached a point where she is fed up with WBLS and this was sort of giving them a big f u before she leaves. This was 100% deliberate on her part. She knows that she's leaving soon and just dosent care anymore. Most people feel this is it for "the experience". WBLS has had it up to here with this womans antics and is not renewing her contract despite her good ratings. They might reconsider, as she still brings a ton of advertising in the station and all of her affiliates. But, we will see.
She will prbably do the tv thing for a year and then find another radio station to hire her. |
