I think that Matthew does put a lot of effort into Kelly. Who do you think got her those movie roles, that dark and lovely contract and appearances on those shows. He did. The thing is that Beyonce appeals to both black and white audiences whilst Kelly only basically appeals to the black audience. When he first album came out it was 1st and got so much promotion, even over here in the UK and it barely went platinum and Beyonce wasn't even promoting anything at the time so people need to stop acting like he only looks out for Beyonce. Also I think her live singing needs a lot of improvement but other than that I like her and her personality. Se will make it. |

Marketing Kelly to a white audience is like marketing Kelly Clarkston to a Black audience. It's not going to happen and it's not going to work. MTO, you left out one of Kelly's credits, she was on Girlfriends as well.
But anyway, I hope that this album is better than Simply Deep. I only liked 3 songs on that one. Her voice is okay and I hope she has worked on her live vocals. I want to see her dance more. I want to see her come out more. I want to see her perform like she did when she was in DC, but now just by herself. I hope she's comfortable with being by herself this time around cause I think with Simply Deep she was afraid at competing cause she wasn't the lead singer in the group. Letoya did well, so I hope she will as well.
