Why is everybody sooooo shocked?! Hello....it's a predominately white magazine! White men don't view black women the way black men do, it's just a fact. I used to work at a mostly white Gentlemen's club, and the ratio of dancers white to black would be no more than 8(white) to 2(black). A couple of *** we have 15 dancers, and 8 were black and guys started leaving the club. Most white guys view black women in a sexual way, but not in a relationship type of way. @ Divaonadime, actually yes Cuban and Dominican can both be ethnicity and nationality. You may be Dominican but not be a native citizen of the Dominican Republic, like most people who are from various ethnic backgrounds. Thank you for the correction but I do understand the concept between race, ethnicity, and nationality. I am Afro-Puerto Rican, Sicilian, and Black. And i consider my ethnicities to be Puerto Rican and Sicilian while I am racially black. My nationality is American because that is where my citizenship lies. My main point was that Zoe and Christina are Black/Afro Latina's . . .
They are black, they are just not African American, that is what people don't seem to understand. The term black is universal, although it is most widely used to describe African Americans. Black is used in other cultural groups besides African American to describe racial characteristics. Latinos also separate black from white latinos as well and call the black (darker)latinos "moreno". Techincally it means dark and it is the word used to describe a black person, whether latino or african american.
