I have heard so many descriptions of racism from people in the white gay community. I'm not surprised. White gay men know that black people absolutely loathe them, and in return they come to loathe the black community, even if they wont admit it to most people. I think the report is wrong . I believe that black gay men have a high HIV rate simply because black men are less likely to use a condom,and more likely to have spent time in jail. Plus, a lot of black gay men still feel the need to hide their gay status ,so therefore they are more likely to have more one night stands with strangers , instead of long standing monogamous relationship. The same can be said for most (not all) African American males. They are most likely to go to jail, or to have spent time in jail. They are less likely to have a monogamous relationship,and or wear a condom. |
