I agree completely! Devote a realistic amount to necessities for the child (clothes/food/school/etc.) and put the rest in an account that ONLY the child can tough upon adulthood. The system is indeed broken. But, again, there is a reason for keeping a broken system afloat….it is about the break down of the family structure. Why would a woman want to sustain any long term family, when you can get divorce and get a hefty paycheck if the “baby-father” is well-off.
This is the image they are sending….and hoped that common every day women will follow suit. And they will and they have.
It’s interesting to me that a woman who doesn’t want a child can abort the child even if the father wants the unborn child…yet, the same woman can have a child even if the father doesn’t want it. Essentially, the father has no say so if the birth or death of any unborn child.
These women are quick to claim, it is their body…I agree. But, the child wasn’t the sole creation of the mother….so, what rights do men have when it comes to their unborn child?
If women have the sole rights to an unborn child, then they should bear sole responsibility. If you are saying women can decide to kill or have a child, then essentially you are saying you are the sole creator and should bear sole responsibility.
Therefore, I don’t understand why a father should be force to pay for a child who, by women’s implication, doesn’t have a say-so in the child’s creation.
