: MediaTakeOut.com learned that a SCIENTIFIC BREAKTHROUGH with possible implications on Black folk has just been made. Researchers at Australia's Queensland Institute of Medical Research claim to have discovered the gene responsible for the curliness of a person’s hair. And according to them, they’re now on the verge of developing a perm in a pill.
Researcher Professor Nick Martin told a packed crowd of reporters that his team discovered that variations in the trichohyalin gene which is responsible for the curliness or straightness of hair. Before this discovery, scientists believed that the trichohyalin gene’s sole responsibility was for the development of hair follicles.
And it gets even more interesting. According to Professor Martin, the discovery will likely have major implications for hair treatments. He said, "Potentially we can now develop new treatments to make hair curlier or straighter, rather than treating the hair directly.”
Whichever company comes out with that pill first is gonna make BILLIONS!!!

Reading the article it's clear that they are making a pill to straighten out hair, and a pill that will make hair curly. Most whites and Asians who get perms get the type of perm that curls the hair, so everyone will have advantage of this technology no matter what race or hair type they have. Besides, the effect will be reversible, so if your already straighten your hair with chemicals or heat your already changing your hair to look different, why not use a pill, what's the difference?

A couple of things to mention, for one, read the story and if you don't don't what "gene" is get a science book. Also realize that this is 2009, science is doing a lot of things that even 5 years ago would have seemed like a miracle and get out of your head the idea that a person would be taking a hair pill that is a soft sheen permanent. One other thing, make sure you get at least one share of the stock for the pill at the first offering, don't say no one told you.

It seems to be the answer for everything these days. The side effects of some of these drugs are sometimes worse than the condition itself.
Who knows what the effects of this would be on someone's health. They can't even tell you the long term effects of many of these meds because experiments and time reveal these things, but drug companies want to make money so they them out without really knowing how much damage can be done.

Honestly, why can't people be able to do wtf they want to do with their hair. That's the problem with most people today they worry about what everyone else is doing. If you are condemning someone about something a petty as the hair on their head then you are just as "shallow".
