I understand what you are saying, and its an epidemic, one that I am a product of and in turn repeated history in my own life, however Marriage doesn't guarantee that the child will turn out productive or "better". How many of these children are born to single Latina mothers, or white single divorced mothers!? A piece of paper should not define a group of people as being worse off then another group, especially if they are getting divorced at ridiculous rates!
Don't get it twisted, I agree that marriage should come b4 children in most cases, but in some cases it's not fees able or realistic, and it doesn’t guarantee that the married couple will stay together. I definitely have to agree with what you saying as it relates to marriage doesn't mean that a woman will not become a single parent.
As I have stated countless times...I was married and currently divorced but thank God we didn't lose sight of the greater picture.
We love our sons dearly and we raising them together....there's no court order that mandates how much time, or money our children deserve.
Our sons appear well adjusted but it took a lot to get to this point though. I had to discipline myself and not exhibit angry towards my husband because he cheated...if I had our sons would have suffered more.
I can understand what the blogger is saying though….it’s an epidemic, to say the least. My only question is this, how do you quell an epidemic that’s appears engrain in people today? I asked a question before, are men willing to abstain and court women and determine if that woman should bore his offsprings? It’s definitely is a collective effort…..so we really cannot blame ONLY women, their male counterparts are equally responsible for the likes of our society as of late.
