ummmm Duh! Who ever believed this was real in the first place. New York actually looks like the child of the two "playing" her parents so I never thought anything about it. But as far as any girl ugly or not loving or even intrested in a relationship with flavor flav is ridiculous. The clues (as if u needed any) were all around to suggest that this show was fake. Mr.Flav himself kinda opened the can of beans on that. When he went on Wendy Williams show he said "the girls are trying to get there's, and that's what it's all about. An opportunity for this girls to have and that's why they are on the show". He never said anything about actually looking for a love interest or that he was inrested in any of the girls like that seriously, espcially since he had a baby on the way shortly after season 2 ended. Even if all of these details were not put out there, so obviously it's just fake t.v. to dumb people down. |

The scenario is that the show was concoted to appear to be some sort of dating show, but the "contestants" signed up for something entirely different.
The girls on the show signed up for more of an "acting contest".

The prize included a guaranteed reality show (Strange Love) and monetary compensation.

"Flavor of Love" is the WWF of dating shows.
To further perpetuate the absolute ridiculousness

I hope they have the men brush up on their acting skills this season. Chance was not a real thug. He was an overactor. Mr Boston was put in there as a joke. Tango wouldn't have really put up with her shyt in real life. A group of men, especially black men would not fight over 1 girl. I had a link to a couple of pictures of New York when she was between 7 and 10 years old, but, of course, I can't find it when I want it. All I remember is that it came from some site called "Photobucket." The picture shows New York and her older brother when they were kids. She was actually sort of cute as a child, and she had a head full of real hair. In these pictures, New York's older brother is a spitting image of Sister Patterson. I mean he looks like her male twin. I believe New York and Sister Patterson are actually mother and daughter, but that's about the only thing I believed about that show. |

Yes, the show is fake.
The scenario is that the show was concoted to appear to be some sort of dating show, but the "contestants" signed up for something entirely different.
The girls on the show signed up for more of an "acting contest".
The concept, initially proposed by William Drayton aka
'Flava Flav', was to have a show which would appear to the viewers to be a 'dating contest', but in reality would be an competition to find a suitable 'match' for a money desperate Drayton after Brigitte Nielson declined to appear in another season of VH1's "Strange Love".
The winner would be the woman who could best 'act like'
Drayton's perfect other.....
Someone with antics bizarre enough to hold the interest of
the viewers and who could also feign love for the virtually unlikable Drayton.
In layman's terms:
A group of young (and not so young) hollywood fringe hopefuls signed contracts to appear on a televised acting contest, vying for the coveted position of phony
reality show 'girlfriend' to 'Flava Flav'.
The prize included a guaranteed reality show (Strange Love) and monetary compensation.
The long and short of it:
"Flavor of Love" is the WWF of dating shows.
To further perpetuate the absolute ridiculousness

If she was lying about her name, and she is really Kenya Simmons, then after the names were revealed on FOL1, trust as many people as there are that dislike her, someone would have jumped at the chance to out her. Also if you remmeber Alex Pollard he and NY are twins... they have the same exact nose. Now as far as Michelle, I don't really want to talk about her mom because I wouldn't want anyone talkign about mine .. but they put themselves out there like that. You can be positive and still sell records as long as the energy is good and the records are catchy! Its easy to blame marketing but Hey, Would You Want To Heavily Market and Promote a Sure Flop! Put $10 Million into an Album that might not even sell 500,000 copies! So Thats a Waste of money!!! And I dont think its the fact that they are deep or what have you or lack of promotion, Mainstream just dont like their deliver and hell some of the urban youth and even people in their age group dont like their delivery! I don't usually respond to these sites but after watching these so called reality shows a few times while I was channel surfing I just had to see what other people thought. I don't know why anyone would want to meet let alone date either one of these two low lifes "Flavor Flave" and "New York". I can understand watching them make fools of themselves on TV is funny but both of these shows are so degrading of women, men and African Americans. "Flavor Flav" is a stereotype of what everyone black or white thinks of as a "[EXPLETIVE]". "Flavor Flave" is a characature of an African American male. He is uneducated with no sense of right and wrong. He seems to think useing drugs, commiting violent crime and treating women like whores with no real respect is a normal way of life. he has no real talent other than playing a fool on TV (I guess thats something:). He contributes nothing to his community. He doesn't even take care of his numerious bastard children by paying child support yet he wants to make more babies. He is one of the ugliest no talent hacks I have ever seen. Why does the African American community tolerate such a poor roll-model to entertain their children on VH-1 week after week ?
