The real deal is that he did that dumb ass move of having the people vote for which song he was going to perform at the awards, so he didnt know until last minute. And so being that he didnt know until last minute, his ass was just going to lip sync over the track, but little did he know, it was the instrumsental. I think alot of ya'll are mixing up the meaning between "lip synching" and using a "backing Track". Singers will lip sync sometimes when they are on tour or doing a heavy performance, but usually they'll use a backing track. Thats what all the singers used last night that actually "PERFORMED" used. Beyonce, Kelly, Ciara...Rappers usually dont use Backing tracks becuase they use Hype Men.
I dont know what happened to 50 last night. I dont hate on any artist, especially black people thats trying to do there thang, so I'm just going to say that I'm confused and I'm going to wait on 50 to make a comment.

I watched the whole show...and yes he was lip syncing, he was talking that whole time so they didnt "cut" his mike...he said he wanted to see where everybody at, because he got stuck and didnt know what to do... but my thing is, even if it was the instrumental and you see there are no words coming on, wouldnt that be your cue to maybe do something like sing your OWN song? The sound system was so WHACK that I could not even watch the show in its entirety. I would think that as much money and sponsorship they put into the show they could have done a SOUND CHECK prior to.

Baby wanted to say something but Lil Wayne took over the mic. When him and Baby stood up they looked like they wanted to kiss again, but then they though "naw, bad idea!" LOL but anyhoo, bless his heart. I missed Moniques performance and Jennifer Holiday and Jennifer Hudsons but I heard it was good. Kelly Rowland voice was so weak she pissed me off. She danced and she looked cute and Destiny child dancing with her was cute, BUT!!! She sounded like Janet Jackson with laryngitis and that's weak!!!! The Gerald Levert tribute made me cry.
