: MediaTakeOut.com has learned that rapper T.I. was arrested this afternoon in Atlanta. The multi-platinum artist and his label-mate Young Dro were picked up by ATF agents inside a Walgreen's parking lot. Young Dro was later released.
We've OFFICIALLY confirmed that TI was arrested for trying to buy a fully automatic machine gun from an undercover agent.
Before the arrest, a federal search warrant was executed at T.I.'s College Park residence about 15 miles southwest of Atlanta. Special agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives were seen carting boxes of evidence from T.I.'s home. It's not clear whether in those boxes was the weapon T.I. reportedly purchased.
This couldn't have come at a worse time for T.I. He was scheduled to perform at tonight's BET Hip Hop Awards and host an after-party at an Atlanta nightclub. So far, neither he or Young Dro have been seen at the event.
And T.I. had a lot to look forward to. Next month, he has a role opposite Academy Award-winners Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe in American Gangster.

Although details are currently sketchy, reports from Atlanta have surfaced that Clifford "T.I." Harris was arrested on the afternoon of Saturday October 13, 2007 at a local Walgreens. Members of a swat team followed the platinum-selling star into the pharmacy. The rapper was reportedly en route to Atlanta's BET Awards, where T.I. was nominated for several awards, including CD of the Year for his T.I. vs. T.I.P. He was also scheduled to perform at the event.
The incident comes in a year that's been marred with drama for the 27 year-old. In June, T.I. was involved in a physical altercation with Ludacris' manager Chaka Zulu at a Los Angeles luncheon hosted by Warner Brothers executive Kevin Liles. In the months since, T.I. has struggled with fans throwing objects on stage while performing, including one such occurrence leading to a fight in the crowd.
Representatives from Grand Hustle Records were unreachable for comment.

Rapper T.I. faces another 150 hours of community service after a probation violation saw him arrested and detained in a Georgia jail on Wednesday (10MAY06). The hip-hop star, real name CLIFFORD HARRIS, allegedly failed to fulfil his community service quota after being put on probation following an altercation in a Florida shopping mall three years ago (03), and for driving on a suspended license a few months later. In total, he was due to perform 375 hours of service for the two crimes but probation officers accuse T.I. of only completing 10 hours since being sentenced in 2005. He was arrested after a court appearance for an unrelated charge of threatening behaviour outside an Atlanta, Georgia, strip club, but later released on a $25,000 (GBP13,900) bail, reports [SPAM].com. The rapper's lawyer, DWIGHT THOMAS, maintains his client's innocence, contending he has fulfilled more than 75 hours of the court order.

What's setting our race back is the fact that we are not the judges , lawmakers, and politicians. It wasnt a setup. A radio personality from ATL called Wendy Williams show today and spoke about it. It seems that the bodyguard went to the gun shop and asked the worker about machine guns and silencers with being registered.The worker then called ATF in which ATF gave the worker a number of an undercover agent. The security guard contacted the undercover thinking he was just a hookup guy off the street. They met up at a Kmart and that's when it all fell apart. The guard said the guns were for T.I. and he was call T.I. to meet him to pick them up. When T.I. met him the guard was wired and was asking him questions and thats when the ATF moved in. This dumb [EXPLETIVE] is going downnnnnnnnnnnn!
