Richard Williams has every right to express his views on the tennis establishment, but, for god sakes his daughters need to sit him down and tell him to shout the hell up.
A couple of years ago Chris Evert criticized Serena for her lack of commitment to the game, not because she disliked Serena or her sister, but, because she respected their talents to the fullest and believed that Serena had the talent to be the greatest player in the history of the game. Oh course, many uneducated and ignorant individs, mostly black, though this was a way of her to express her dislike for Serena due to her blackness, but what it was is her way of reaching out to Serena to get her act together.
Tracy Austin is another story, I truly feel she just doesn't like the Williams sister for whatever reason, i don't know. I've watched and read her commentary whenever it comes to them and she seems to always criticize them. I do think with her there is a bigoted slant or she just bitter because her career ended so abruptly due to injuries. |

Have white people ever apologized for slavery? NO

Do asians support/give back to the african-american community, even though their business thrive in those communities?? NO

I agree with Richard Williams for the most part. I don't agree with the "white trash" comments because it minimizes the truth behind what he's saying (especially with bamboozled, deaf, dumb and blind blacks like Kattdaddy). When the Williams sisters dominated tennis, consummate loser Anna Kournikova made almost twice as much in endorsements are Serena did, when she was ranked number 1 and Kournikova was unranked. At least Maria Sharapova actually wins, even though I don't now what the hoopla is about her. She's just a tall, skinny white girl with long blond hair, who the media has spinned into some quasi-supermodel. Her face is just average looking. The only way they'll allow a black female athlete that level of endorsement hype, is if she's some mulatto, light skinned Alicia Keys, Halle Berry, Rihanna type that white men are "comfortable" lusting over without feeling like a "nigg@ lover", that they'll have to justify their attraction to, with their social circle.
Kattdaddy, you are naive and have no understanding of global white supremacy and imperialism. You are the type who'll compare the Nation of Islam to the KKK, when the NOI has never committed acts of violence against whites, nor have they been able to infiltrate the government to reek havoc against black aspirations like the KKK did. I had a black co-worker who used to make the same type of misguided comments, but ironically enough, he only dated light skinned latinas, Indian women, asians, white and mulatto looking black women. If you were darker than a paper bag and didn't have straight hair, you'd get no dap. So, he was ignorant of this own internal racism and pawned it off as being a "preference". You are one of these brothas who look at shyt on the surface level and make assessments about issues that require much more forethought and data. That's not to say blacks who say blacks are the superior race or call people slurs are any different, so that's why the "white trash" comment made by Richard Williams obscured the real truth in what he said. There is bias amongst the white tennis establishment, especially among white females like Tracy Austin and Martina Navritolova. I wouldn't put Chris Evert in the same boat as those two. She seems to be frustrated with Serena's lack of focus and just wants her to be as good as she capable of being, instead of being on this Hollywood shyt she been on in the last 5 years. I agree with her, Serena's lack of focus and need to been seen as some mainstream celebrity/fashionista has diminished her ability to dominate. You can't be clubbin to 5AM, spending time filming movies and TV shows, starting a fashion line and expect to dominate women's tennis. She constantly feels the need to be butt ass naked too, like she needs people to validate her beauty and attractiveness (probably due to a void that needs to be filled, stemming from low self-esteem from childhood). Venus has been more focused, but she doesn't have as much talent, speed and tenacity as Serena has. Even Richard Williams has commented that Venus tends to get frustated and rattled a lot more easier than Serena.
To be honest Kattdaddy, any black man who isn't "angry" about the past and current state of blacks in America and the historic, systemic racism that has help lead us there, is the one who is asinine. I do agree with Barack Obama, that at some point blacks need to take some personal accountability, like our rap artist glorifying self-defeating, dysfunctional behavior and educated black execs like BET's Reginald Hudlin and Debra Lee who rubber stamp it, for our children spiraling out of control.
Divinebeauty, Venus has folded under the pressure of white criticism about being anti-social and pro-black due to her father's comments in her teenage years (similar to Barack Obama and Jeremiah Wright). I remember when he called a European white tennis player a "white turkey" because she accused the Williams sisters of segregating themselves from the white players on tour years back. I do think Richard has unresolved anger issues and he has allowed them to lead to mistreatment of their mother, so that's why she has gravitated towards white men (see Tina Turner). To be honest, this is not suprising to me. Many sistas (especially darker ones), who have been reared in predominately white schools, neighborhoods or social environments (i.e amateur/pro tennis) with no or bad relationships with their black male role model, tend to run into the arms of white men. In her days of living in Compton, she was probably teased about her height, complexion and looks, coupled with her overbearing father, it's no wonder she goes for white men. This is my main issue with black men like Richard Williams. Don't become so angry at the system that has done you wrong, that you let it taint and destroy your family. Teach your children about their history and culture, without acting like some pro-black drill sergeant. If you come across lovingly, they'll embrace you and your words. Look at how Malcolm X's and Louis Farrakhan's children adore them and stand as proud, unwavering black men and women. If you don't, you'll just alienate them like Richard Williams has done. White supremacy and it's historic emasculation of the black man, has been responsible for this time and time again. Wonder why you see so many black men in the hoods across America, looking like drunk or drugged out zombies, talking to themselves, acting a fool. Kattdaddy, if you don't know or understand the enemy your fighting (white supremacy) you can easily fall victim to it via self hatred and brainwashing. |

First off Katdaddy,
The fact that you can't express yourself intelligently without cursing and calling people ni@@a, once again shows you're too ill-equipped to comment intelligently on this subject. My family and I have always loved tennis. Be it playing or watching it. Racism has always been evident in this game. The majority of people who play it are white. Although I am older than these girls, I remember witnessing racism within the game. Mr. Williams is an older black man that has probably seen alot. Altough he may not have spoken the "Queen"s English" I'm sure those people knew exactly what he was talking about. Anyone who is blessed enough to still have the elders around also knows what this man is saying and can relate to how he feels, especially concerning his daughters. In their beginnig the Media did not have any mercy on these girls. And Papa Williams did what all responsibile parents should do. He continued to encourage the girls and demanded respect for them, even though they has already earned it. He and his wife I'm sure worked hard at keeping them in line with reality. Because the Media took cheap shots at them about anything they could. From wise cracks about their hair to their clothes. But these girls kept spanking ass all over the court. The Media was so good that it had our very own black folks talking about them negatively. Forgetting about the importance of what was really happening. They were making history and breakig barriers like it wasn't nothing. And don't even mention when these young ladies would speak to the Media. It was Priceless... Nothing like they expected. All who followed knew they were ready to hear these ladies FUC up the "Queen's English". LOL!... Then finding out they spoke several different languages too. Lawd knows, it wasn't suppose to be this way. Damn, the NI**ERS are catching up!!! So I ain't mad at Pops, I understand the WHO,WHAT,WHERE,WHEN & WHY'S. One thing's for sure. They are lucky to have him in thier life. Pops has been in their lives all their lives and not just when fame & fortune presented itself. Not too many kids can say that or even that about the one parent, that they have is interested in them. Look at Juvi. Now he has lost all possibiity to make it right with his daughter. Look at Eddie Murphy. He doesn't even want to see his baby. And yes, the list goes on. There are many who wish they had it like these Ladies. |

FROM MY EXPERIENCE, most white golfers are spoiled a$$holes who are used to talking to people like crap and getting their way. Remember Fuzzy and Tiger, that situation?
