Actually, MTO, Solange WAS into the reggae type thing back then when they were teens. Remember her video for "Feelin You" and the cover picture for "Solo-Star."
And why do you always have to be from somewhere to have that personal style? I was mad dance hall a few years back, and I've never left the States.
Besides, y'all always talkin about how Solange is less-talented and less-pretty than Beyonce, when in actuality she's not. Beyonce has a very beautiful and trained voice, but Solange's lyrical ability is amazing. And Solange may not look as good as Beyonce, but she is nothing short of beautiful. Anything you point out that is wrong with her can be wrong with anybody, and I'm sure you wouldn't call your little cousin ugly or "unpretty" if she looked like Solange.
