I relocated to a new city in Oct 2004 to escape my hometown's growing crime rate, an unhappy family life, and an unrealized love life. I believed that the only way for me to obtain true happiness was to move away from negativity. I took a leap of faith and moved away. Since I've moved to my current area, it's been very hard for me to make it professionally. This is where my dreams of a new life have become a nightmare. I've always been a professional who exhibited tenacity, ambition, and initiative. Back in my hometown, I led an independent lifestyle for my entire adulthood. In my quest of doing all that it took for me not to have to return to my hometown, I've exhausted all my available credit, and savings. My fatal flaw was not preparing for failure because I've never really failed before. So failure was not in my planning. I'm a decent person, who has always believed in helping people in need. I only hope that my attitude towards helping people can be returned to me.
What I'm in need of is a donation of at least $1,300 to move back to my hometown, or $5,000 to extend my prospects of making it in my current area. The apartment complex I live in is very strict and would not allow its tenants to be more than 10 days late before filing for a legal eviction, whereas most apartments would wait the usual 90 days. Honestly, I would prefer to stay in my current location, but I will truly appreciate the travel funds as well.
I know that my current situation is totally my responsibility, and I'm not overlooking this point. However mistakes are a part of life, and everyone needs help at least once in their life and I'm forced to take untraditional methods of asking for help. I've been 100% truthful in this message. I'm not trying to deceive you, as I do believe in karma. Thank you so much for your time, and I apologize for the length of this message. I just believe that if I'm asking for help, I tell the full story.

@focus, don't use my girl Ellen Degeneres as an example unless you know her body of work. Her talk show is number 2 only to Oprah, so i'd say she's quite successful. Before she said she was gay, her sitcom was doing ok in the ratings, but not as good as after. If you ever saw the show or any of her movies, you would know that they weren't that successful, probably due to the fact that she was uncomfortable as hell fakin it! Now that she is comfortable in her own skin, she is working much more(commercials, endorsements, etc.) and i'm sure she's happy with her decision. By the way, tell me Queen didn't play the hell outta Cleo? Didn't she seem so at home in that role?.... @ajv01: I stand by what I said about Ellen. After she demanded that her character 'come out of the closet' her TV show went down the tubes and was cancelled. America wasn't having it.
No, I can't imagine Ellen playing anyone's wife or girlfriend on TV or in a movie because she's been adamant about shoving her sexuality down America's throat. She got exactly what she wanted and is now seen as nothing but a lesbian.
As for Ellen's TV show, that's a totally different forum. You're comparing apples and oranges. It's totally different to sit down and chat about topics than play a character on screen and it has absolutely nothing to do with being real to herself.
I believe this gay marriage thing is becoming so acceptable because more gays are becoming CEO's of companies, politicians, managers, etc., and not coming out until after they get their positions. Once they're stable in these positions they push their agenda. San Francisco is a major example of this.
Certain celebrities don't need to come at us one way and then decide to become someone else. I look at Queen Latifah as a great actress and pretty spokesperson for Revlon and her commercials. I don't need to know anything about a marriage to her girlfriend.
I'm very serious when I say had Luther come out of the closet, his records would've dropped off. However, the man loved his career and had self respect and didn't bring out his alternative lifestyle demanding that the public accept it.
Clay Aiken is where now? He lost tons of fans when a lover sold his story to the tabs.
If I were a gay celeb, I'd keep it to myself. Whether anyone wants to agree with whether someone is born that way or it is learned, it is an alternative lifestyle and my opinion has nothing to do with religion. |
