: MediaTakeOut.com has learned that in a recent interview with Precious Times magazine, Sherri Shepherd told intimate details of her life before she converted to Christianity.
Here's one of her confessions:
I was sleeping with a lot of guys and had more abortions than I would like to count ... I felt if someone killed me, it wouldn't even make a difference.And here's what Sherri said about her boss Barbara Walters:

I don't think Barbara Walters runs her show as a democracy, she will fire you. Don't bite the hand that feeds you when this is the best gig you've ever gotten so far. But then again she has already proven stupidity is her forte.

I got you @ Lion-S. And my reply wasn't to knock your opinion or anything. Her story seems so unnecessary to me but I guess there are some things people really feel they need to get out. When Gabrielle Union talked about her vicious rape it was absolutely stunning to know she'd survived such an ordeal and moved on successfully. Stories like hers actually help people. In comparison, I wonder what is this woman's motivation? Is she a victim of her own excessive carelessness and self-detriment? Does that even count? I'm sure she expects some backlash but I hope she doesn't expect any pats on the back for admitting that crap.

“Abortions” is plural, as in more than one. I'm not being an a$$ or picking with folks but that's what her statement implies. I don't think people are reading anything more than what she stated. If that's not what she meant, then she should have worded it differently. Besides, it's not uncommon that some people use abortion like birth control and have multiples so she very well could be admitting that during that period in her life she had more than one. Makes sense, people that don't care about their own lives don't usually care about the lives of others. In fact, I read the entire excerpt from the article and that's basically what she way saying. I hope that she is trying to use her experiences as a learning tool to teach about the redemptive powers of God and not to generate buzz about her. (Though I can't imagine why anyone would share something such an intimate, painful and shameful experience for any other reason than as a cautionary tale.)
ARE YOU PEOPLE REALLY BELEIVING SHE SAID THIS??? This site is starting to lose so much credibility with me and most of you are not helping the case either. First of all, why would she even discuss something so personal like the number of abortions she's had with a no-name underground magazine?? (or maybe I'm the only one that has never heard of "Precious Times Magazine") Secondly, even though you all may think Sherri is not the brightest buld in the pack, one would think that after the Star Jones/Rosie O'Donnell debacle that got her the job she would have enough sense not to make any mention of Barbara Walters in ANY context.

I really didn't know Sherri as a celeb before The View. Now that I do, she's got a lot of maturing to do. She acts as if she knows nothing to keep an intelligent conversation going. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt after she said the world was flat!!
She screams like crazy if one of her favorite celebs comes on the show. And the "N" word conversation and her response to BW has made me not too keen on her any more. She praises Whoopi likes she's some Goddess. Sure, Whoopi has won awards and is the only black to do so but treating her like a Goddess is not necessary.
Sherri said she's had a lot of abortions yet had to endure infertility treatments with her husband. That's a sign that she created her own infertility via either the multiple abortions or by contracting a disease from one of those men. That's one story I wouldn't tell a soul.

Man it's real easy to judge this woman but we all know this is the secret that women don't like to talk about. I agree she could have probably used more discretion.
