But I love this song. It's a real departure from the majority of the lame music on the radio. Alicia Kings is one of the only people keeping music alive since they don't really play any of the real artist as much of these other artist out here. This song made my respect for Solange go extremely high. Her voice has grown over the years to.
She's never tried to compete with or be Beyonce, she's her own artist. It worked out for Ray-J. Brandy was the superstar but he came along and did his own thing in acting and music.
SOLANGE WAS A GOOD SPORT IN THIS ONE. SHE KNOW HER FANS ARE THE ONES WHO KEEP THANGS GOING FOR HER. IF THAT WAS ANYBODY NOWADAYS HOW MOTHA SUCKAS IS CRAZY AND PULLING OU KNIVES AND GUNS AND SHYT THEY WOULDVE EITHER RAN OFF STAGE OR DIDN'T SAY NOTHING WHEN SECURITY GOT THAT ASS. LOL!!! WHY IS IT A FOOL LIKE THIS IN EVERY TOWN AND CITY? ITS A GOOD THANG THAT THEY CRAZY ASS HELL AND MAKE U LAUGH BUT THEY WOULDN'T HARM ANYBODY.
That was too cute. I like that she didn't signal security to take him off stage, but rather, she played along. Shows initiative and character because she can think on her feet. Or maybe she's desparate for any attention she can get. LOL
What the hell was the dude doing though. He was busting all the white moves. lol
I really must say that, that was so professional of Solange!!!I respect her for that ! she took control of the situation and handled that so well........WOW! I'm really diggin her for that.the man felt a little happy and she let him be happy.she told security"he ain't hurtin nobody" WOW And her singing voice wasn't bad and that song is growing on me alot.very 60's but also nice. I'm so happy Beyonce and Solange aren't making azzes of themselves by drinking excessively,doing drugs or sleeping around like MANY......."other" celebrities. *AHEM!* AND THOSE SHOES WERE FIERCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember this it happend this past Saturday I was there in The front row at the Stone Soul Picnic Get at Me DMV....no one knows how he got up there my manz was pist cause he love that gurl he wished it was him. But yea she ripped it so did most of the other performers especially Rare Essence....from the go-go city
i love Solange. but for people saying Beyonce is stuck up, how do yall know? Have you met her before? If somebody would pull a stunt like this on Solange imagine what they'd do Beyonce. She has to be careful because as this tape shows you there are some throwed off azz people in this world and when i met her at the Houston rodeo nothing was stuck up about her. I think yall put her on a higher pedistal than she puts her self!!!!
I don't think she handled that well...what if the muthafucka was actually crazy and had a knife or a gun? This was not a venue where people were checked for weapons...she should have allowed her security to remove him from the stage...and most importantly, how the hell did he get on the stage! Security is slippin, and that could have been diastrous! I give her credit for not freaking not, but it was pure stupidity to not allow security to remove him. And i agree with everyone, beyonce is not this gracious, i don't believe she even has it in her, it's like she's robot, and she does nothing of her own initiative...it's like she's mindless.
Also, while her voice isn't bad, actually its much better and stronger, but whose going to buy this cd? For real? Not the teenagers i can tell you that...and not the 20's or 30's something....i just can't imagine who her market is...and while people may like the song, in this terrible time of high gas and so forth, whose gonna actually spend money for the cd?
Oh wow, this was great and she really did do a great job of handling this, but she is going to have to watch out in the future, because every person who rushes the stage is not a fan. You all know if that was Beyonce that guy wouldn't have got pass the first step onto that stage. She would have screamed bloody murder or he probably would have been sufflexed right before he got, directly into the concrete.Good going Solange!!
She handled that situation like a true pro! She seemed confident that he wasn't on stage to hurt her and reacted as such.
I agree with FeeLoNiouS. This can only happen once. Otherwise a true threat could take her kindness in this instance for weakness.
She was cool and calm in this situation and I give her major props for it.
Well, I regret having to sit there and listen for so long before ol dude stepped up on the stage but that shyt was hilarious. I can say one good thing about Solange....I don't know too many performers who would've let him stay on the stage. I know there are security measures and all...and stalkers...but dude clearly wasn't going to hurt nobody...he just wanted to get his dance on!
I am a product of the sixties and I have to say I love that song by SOLANGE, it has that sixties SUPREEMES feel.
Now I love the way SOLANGE handled the fan,yes her security should have dropped him quick, but once SOLANGE realzed he was harmless she jammed with him and I thought that was too cute!!!

Solange handled that amazingly. I like her now just for that. Any other diva would prolly be like "get this fool off my stage" but she didn't. She was okay wit it. Dancin wit him and all, that's ma gurl. That shows her personality in a very good way. I'm impressed. She was prolly happy to have a fan PROUD enough to get up there with her. Plus I like that song. Bee, maybe you should take some notes from lil sis. LOL LOL LOL!!!

I think she handled the situation in a very professional way... Granted, dude could have been a certified 51-50 lunatic but she did handle it well. I must admit I gained nothing but much respect from this chick when she allowed him to stay on the stage! She handled that very well, like a real superstar should! Impressed with Solange's handling of the overzealous fan. She definitely saved that guy a bytch slap upside the head! Just the fact that he got past the 'twice as large' security guys & embarrassed them, earned him THAT much, lol!
But. Girlfriend followed her instincts, controlled the situation with professionalism & humbleness & THE SHOW WENT ON!!
The singing wasn't bad & her back-up singers are tight!

Oh yall ain't know,Solange can be "bout it,bout it".You know she wrote a song about smokin thangs.(if ya know what I mean)She knows about feelin yo self and "flying high" just as that man was feelin himself and "flying high",she knows how he was feelin.Yes....I do agree with you all about how professional she was about it but that's why she was down to earth about it.For tha record I am a Solange fan and have always been.
