Stop with the conspiracy theories. People who have no health or science backgrounds are alwasy making up tales because they don't understand.
It's reasonable for the family to want to follow every detail given to Bernie while he was hospitalized. However, he had sarcoidosis and you can tell his lungs had been really damaged over the years. Once your lungs are damaged you can easily aquire pneumonia and infections. On most of his movie sets he wore portable oxygen. Hospitals are not sanitary and with an already compromised immune system, he could've contracted another infection in the hospital
Toward the end of the Bernie Mac show he was so ill I thought he had had a stroke when he finally appeared in public. His speech was slurred and his skin looked horrible.
Look at all the pictures of him over the years and you can see his face is round and puffy in some of them. This came from steroids used to treat sarcoidosis. It can also change the pigementation in the skin too.
Bernie was tired of fighting and he's gone and there's no bringing him back. Can you imagine trying to get one breath all the time? That's a fight. Plus they showed him smoking cigars. I don't know if he was a habitual smoker but smoking certainly didn't help his lungs. What people can do now is request that more research be done on this disease so a cure or better treatment can be found. This is a disease that priamarily affects black people yet I hear barely anything about it. |

Well we all new he has has this disease for quit sometime and there was nothing too much that could be done about it but rest as much as you can, but Bernie was a hard work and couldn't sit down and his body just got tired. I AM SO GLAD THEY ARE NOW SEEKING MORE ANSWERS.
This is mindblogging what has happened to Bernie Mac and his family. Lets look at this from a normal everyday life. Bernie Mac has a condition well known for over 20 years no surprise, his primary doctors are fully aware of this. I not sure if Mr. Mac was admitted by his doctor or if he went in through Emergency Care (this right here makes alot of difference), or if this is a hospital he has been to before or one he and his wife chose because they did not want alot of media attention and he felt that he needed just another breathing treatment and back at home in hours or days. Now he has been admitted he is now at the hands of STRANGERS, Northwestern is a Learning Hospital with Interns coming on the floors in July now parading as fully knowledgable Nurses and Doctors. So in comes the Ventilator (he can no longer communicate verbally to his wife any complaints or agreements with his care) his wife has to read his eyes and body movements.
The family says he is responding well and getting better and he IS, then things get even worst than when he WALKED in, what happened? ? (and they should ASK), did some of his medical team infect him with STAPH and now they are working with all kinds of anitboctics to cure him before he gets worst and his family finds out whats going on. Yall better know this family needs to question from the time how he got there to the moment he passed, I was under the assumption his wife was in the room, until I read People's and they made her and his daughter leave the room (I would have been like hell 2 tha naw I'll be right over here in the corner), so now no one knows what really happen except the team that was in the room between midnite and 2am his passing, how many of you bet his primary care doctor was one of those people, Bernie was at the hands of the 3rd shift doc on call and interns. Bernie Mac should NOT be dead today, this man's history with Sacrodosis was well know his medications also, this is Negligent.
I've read the comments "let him rest in peace", do any of you think you would be resting in peace if Negligence was involved in your death of any kind. And for the person who said people always believes its a Conspriacy, well I want to say this "sometime It Is a Conspriracy". I was not aware of what happened at the Democratic Fund Raiser 12 days before he started having these symptons but I do know from his wife and those who had contact with him Bernie Mac was fine and for those who want to contest this fine sickness does happen all at once to some peole. How many of you know how pneumonia is contracted, there are 3 known ways and one of them its contracted from spoils in the air its a bacteria, maybe Bernie came in contact with someone that had a strong immune and was fighting this virus and didnt know it and came in contact with him, but I really think he went to the hospital for a breathing treatment and contact STAPH, thats why they keep saying "he contacted a SECOND strain".
This man was not TIRED of fighting to live, they gave him a concoction of medicins that overpowered him and thats what I bet his wife will find out and thats NEGLIGENCE, and we has his Fans should certainly support her and his family in finding out the truth because this may not be far from our own lives, with Medical care being what it is.
God does everything for a reason, this brought back to me a few months ago they had on CNN a woman they just let die on an emergency room floor begging for help. God is watching everything and he dont want his children being lead around blind. Someone on another board said this sounds like "Legionaires Disease" I looked it up and true enough you can be in a room full of people and when these spores come in everyone in the room will not even get sick but some will die in days. We have alot of airborne disease out now that the CDC is not talking about so anything people want to talk about maybe we should listen when it may concern health issues. Bernie Mac doctors have confirmed that he DID NOT die from SARCOIDOSIS and I know there are people that have this and need more attention to this, but this man did not die from this disease, they have also commented and said the Pneumonia was not RELATED to the disease.
So what does that leave then I'll tell what that leaves they have the blood and urine work and the numbers dont add up to the disease because all he needed was a breathin treatment, but something happened while he was in the hospital that they have not told his wife and family and may not never because most people want to blame it all on the Sacroidosis and are satsisfied with that, but none of their medical reports will substantiate that because other than the breathing problems that day Bernie Mac probably was at his healthest he had been in years and thats why he lived really along time after getting that second infection and but they tore him down with their exprerimental drugs everyday. Everyone of us should want to know the truth because it involves all of us,

They cannot say for sure (even tho they did) that SARCOIDOSIS did not contribute to his death. Just because the disease was in remission, the lungs were already scarred from the disease. Now Pneumonia, which is a disease that effects the lungs is devastating to one with the disease. I know someone with this disease and they also caught Pneumonia and almost died. But just like Focus said STAPH could have been the culprit. These hospitals will let you lay on your death bed for days before they even test you for STAPH infections, which is picked up primarily in hospitals. I also know someone else who this happened to, but he was young, with a healthy immune syst. and bounced back And sometimes it's too late. Bernie's family need to dig further. |

357Maggie, you may not know this or you may, but when you are having a bout with Sarcodisis it shows up on x-rays, these doctors where not hypothetical speaking,
"Respiratory symptoms
In over 90% of patients with sarcoidosis, whether or not they show outward signs of the disease, abnormalities almost always show up on a chest x-ray. These include swelling and inflammation of the lymph nodes (lymphadenopathy) in the chest and, less commonly, a mottled (having colored spots and blotches) appearance to the lungs".

I would say the reason his doctors said this for Sure is when Mr. Mac was X-ray (which always is done with patients coming in with respirartory problems) showed no signs of Sarcoidosis. Doctors have to justify any medical diagnoses with X-rays, CT scans, MRs, EKGs, Blood and Urine. Thats why they said his Sarcoidosis was in Remission because they could not find the swelling or immflamation of his lymph nodes that disease when active would show. We may have to accept that Sarcoidosis and even the scar damage did not killed Mr. Mac, because there was no evidence they can show to prove it did. This man apparantly had really taken his health serioulsy and did the things to improve his health only to fall in the hands of a medical team that didnt know what they where doing or zealous doctors, interns that thought they could cure him overnite and prescribe meds and procedures accordinly. I would say for any of us or for family members to question doctors, blood people, technicians anyone we would have to encounter in doctors, lab or hospital visits. |

You can also get whats called "Hospital-Acquired Infections" from catheters, IVs and ventilators (I believe Mr. Mac had all of these). You may find this article very informing about how hospital patients are being infected while in the hospital:

Come to think of it, Hayes death has been even more of a mystery than Bernie's was. They didn't say s*it about how Isaac Hayes died. Also don't expect for the media to give you a heads up on this either. I had to search the internet just to find out both Mac and Hayes had died. You might be right TracyLlo, and the first thing they scream when one is in trouble that "their money will get them a good lawyer and they will walk", well I guess it dont work with health care if you black with money, Elizabeth Taylor was checked in the same time Bernie Mac was, it was rumored she was at death door, She is ready to attend her next Grammy Awards, dont get me wrong Im glad they took better care of her than they did Mr. Bernie Mac, and as much as I hate to say it Bernie Mac might still more than likely be alive if his wife had granted him his last request to her, "to have the ventilator taken out" because more than likely she didnt even realized he was being killed right before her eyes with the second strain being contracted thru the Ventilator, he must have died a horrible death being kept in a coma not being able to tell her they where killing him all the time the virus is killing all his good cells and she just thinks he is getting worse because of the Sacradosis, she probably read him wrong when she said "he strugged his shoulders' that he was tired he probably was saying to her when are you going to get whats happening here, he may have even been some what upset. I hope his wife had an autopsy done, I bet they talked her out of it at the hospital, because I would bet money he died of the same thing whatever the last person that ventilator was used on, or some of them tubes they had going in all over his body, poor hygeine healthcare workers, I bet his Toxicology Report has bugs all over it. Well BJBeauty, let me help you with your Theory, I do not know wheter Mr. Mac died from AIDS, SARCOIDOSIS, EMPHYEMSIA, LIVER CANCER, CONGESTIEVE HEART FAILURE or BLACK FOLKS DISEASE, but what I can for SURE tell you is when that man was in the hospital for 16 days, the medication he had been given for the last 5 years and the hostile environment he was placed in the hospital could have certainly given him any of the above fatal disease after he was admitted, but according to his doctors you want find any of the above in his chart, unless they just put it there.
I dont know wheter you are a child or just an older person with very little knowledge of your health, Medical Procedures or Life in General but I can gurantee you if you where put you on the same regiment of medication Mr. Bernie Mac was on for the last 5 years (destroying your Immune System) and if you Ms. BajJamBeauty suddenly passed another person in Walgreens DrugStore and that person sneezed within 2 feet of you, I can gurantee you would get a cold which probably would give you severe body aches and fever and maybe even breathing problems to the extent you might want to go to your doctor or local emergency room for antibiotics if nothing else and just by chance they admit you and put you on a ventilator and for your sake and pain put you in an induced coma with a cather and IVs to give your nourishment,
I would say you would also find yourself in the catergory of possibly dyning from AIDS of from Complications from Pneumonia, because of the simple fact of the infections your body will not be able to fight off because for the previous 5 years while you be BajJamming and didnt know you where getting weak as water, so any and everything would be able to take you completely out, because you have just stepped through the doors where every disease, virus and bacteria known to man is somewhere present in that building known as The Hospital", not to say they dont help but you better know when you go trusting all them people and their equipment you just turned your life over to them,
So if you want to call it A.I.D.S you better know Aids stands for an "Acquired Immune Deficncy Syndrom" with "ACQUIRED" being the key word and anyone, with an Immunne Disfuctioning can get it, Aids dont kill people other people kill people with AIDS, have you checked the stability of your Immune System Lately.
