The black bourgeoisie typically are light-skinned Blacks who feel they are superior to dark-skinned Blacks. I like Michelle Obama and all, but I don't let my fondness for Michelle obscure reality. Hillary was around Michelle's age by the time Bill become POTUS, and by then, she had a much longer resume, made partner at her law firm, got a Presidentially appointed position in the Carter administration (before Bill was governor), worked on the Nixon impeachment proceedings, etc. Michelle, well, not so much. I know Hillary made law review at Yale. Did Michelle at Harvard? Hillary probably would've gone to Princeton, had they been admitting women at the time, but Princeton didn't admit women until 1969 (I think). By then, Hillary was graduating #1 at Wellesley, which back then, was the best college a women could attend. There isn't a doubt in my mind that Hillary would have been just as successful at Princeton had she attended. When you think about it, Obama's social secretary, what's her name, Desiree, has accomplished more than Michelle, and she's black. The same could be said for hordes of black women with Michelle's degrees. So it's not always about race. Yes, white privilege has aided Hillary in getting where she is today, but at the same time, the reason why Michelle hasn't accomplished as much and probably will never accomplish as much as Hillary may just be because Michelle isn't as ambitious or clever. And there's nothing wrong with that. |

Um . . . that downtown Little Rock firm was the, whiteshoe, Rose Law Firm. What part of Hillary was getting Presidentially appointed positions and served on the Watergate committee before Bill was ever elected Governor, didn't you get, or did Bill somehow have a hand in that too? Get it right. Hillary joined the Rose Firm before Bill was elected governor, and of course she got the job after she married Bill. Why the hell else would she have even been in Arkansas had she not been married to Bill. The only thing that would have kept Hillary out of the firm was an extra X chromosome, not because she wasn't qualified. Regardless of whether or not Bill's being elected governor had something to do with Hill being made partner, Hillary was probably the only partner at Rose that could boast her credentials (Watergate/ Carter Administration Legal Defense Fund head, etc.), and she was a woman. Her initial political connections came about because of her own design. She put herself on the political map with her valedictory speech at Wellesley. In theory, Michelle would have had a network similar to Hillary's given where they went to school, but Michelle utilized it differently.
Yeah, I love how my comparisons are apples and oranges when you don't have answers to my questions. Now, I think Michelle dresses way better than Hillary, and Michelle has been very successful, but, I'd love to know what criteria you're using to determine who's brighter and more ambitious. I was using silly things like resumes, class rank, editing law review, career milestones. You know, stupid stuff like that. |

There are other great schools out there that may not be as "prestigious or expensive". Michelle never did anything with her law degree. Hillary Clinton DID! However, the CUSHITIC standard has always maintained that the darkest charcoal with the "Proof" (the nappy hair) is the highest among us and the most authentic---as in the image of the mother of our race.
I am going by the African MAN'S standard---not the White Slave Master's standard that so many blacks keep behaving as though is written and sent by God.
I believe in the unity of BLACK people...and this includes Black people in other parts of the world. That's not to say EVERY Black person because you know as I do that there are race traitors all over this globe. However, it would be foolish to over generalize and throw away an opportunity to forge GENUINE alliances with other Blacks who may have something to offer. We must remember that African Americans (U.S.) do not by far make up the mass of the Black world population...we NEED the strength of other Black populations as they need us.
In general, it's not the fault of other Black people that African Americans experience such a hard time unifying---that's OUR fault because it was US who pushed so hard for integration and allowed non-Blacks to come in and take over our communities--including dismantling thriving businesses and schools.
Black folks are STILL allowing that schitt to happen and can't figure out for damn life why Black youth are so freakin' rebellious and so openly, non-problematically self-hating.
Like it or not, we don't have our own languages here---those were taken away from us, remember? Ebonics, in my opinion, doesn't count because the oppressor can still understand you. If there are more African (read that BLACK) people coming into the country, I say our numbers are increasing, and we need to take advantage of that and forge alliances where possible. Remember...these are people who watch us too.
Whether you like it or not, as long as your blood is BLACK, you are automatically related to African people. You really have no choice in the matter----all Black people are related. |
