I know Keisha was trying to do the right thing to reconnect with her family, but she exploited this dysfunctional family for a tv show and now its out of control. @ cocoabrown, I agree with you 98%- yes, having the child is one step in the process of motherhood, but it's one of the biggest. She didn't abort or abandon her children, so for that she does deserve respect. Drugs often do permanent damage, as you can clearly see, but I'm sure if she could do it all over again, her mother would have never touched that stuff.

Since they want to see her baby so badly, I would call forth a brief meeting at an airport lounge twice a year to say hell, give quick hugs, have some refreshments, and see the baby. Like other people have stated, if Elite is taking care of her kids, why did she feel the need to release this statement? The only reason she should be speaking out is if her & Neffe's kids (Keyshia's nephews/nieces) truly miss their relationship with Keyshia (not just for money). I do believe that the kids shouldn't be involved, but that doesn't mean that Keyshia should have to support them financially. I'm not surprised that Keyshia cut them off, I kinda figured she did because no one was seeing pics of Keyshia with any of them out anywhere and on Franki and Neffe's show. I think we can all say that Keyshia was naïve in the beginning. When her show first came out, that was when she really started getting big. She probably believed that she owed it to her family to support them and as for why she would put them on TV when she knew how they were…wasn't her show called "The Way It Is"? She showed you EXACTLY how her life is and now she's showing everyone exactly how it's not going to be! Keyshia's been making money for how long now? It gets to a point when you realize that you shouldn't be held financially responsible for the lives of other people all day, everyday. Fame is something I could do without ! Un Ugh !!! Too much drama & NO privacy. None of us knows what's REALLY going on UNLESS we're around them ? So, when can only make assumptions and give opinions. First of all, nobody has read one word or heard one from Keisha personally. Second, I believe she has done all she needs to do to help her family. You cannot expect someone to take care of every single member of the family while the family sits back and enjoys the take- doing nothing to support their own. I appreciate what Elite has said, but the parents of the children are the one who should be responsible for their offspring. Obviously, the sister understands that and is taking care of her business. Keisha has supported her family as best she could – there are some areas she has slipped in and taken care of without their knowledge! She’s paid back rent, bills, bought furniture, cars, clothes and paid for school. How long is she supposed to continue? She has a life of her own which she ignored and until she finally got out of ATL and moved to Cleveland, she still struggled with what was the right thing to do. I am proud of her. I honor her in that she did all she could and there are just some things you can’t fix. This family is more than dysfunctional. Luckily, she has been able to rise above. She loves her family, but she is not obligated to continue to make life on easy street for them. I know she loves her nieces and nephews, and she has not CUT ANYONE OFF. She has made a concrete decision to carefully spend her money and ensure that she has a cushion to fall back on. She is entitled to her own family.
I don't think she meant for Key to take care of the kids in that statement.
