	Red Cross does actually help. In 2006 my house burnt down and me and my family lost everything. My daughter was 7mths at that time and i didnt even have milk to give her. But Red Cross gave me a debit card to buy clothes and food,paid for a hotel, and even paid the deposit on my apartment until my house was rebuilt. So I believe they will also do their part.

Sorry, they've been saying that since the early 1980's Trust me, the USA would'nt have been twidling their thumbs if oil "OR" good agriculture was jumping off in Haiti. The climate in Haiti is very hot for good agriculture, period. This is why fruits from Mexico are dry & horrible compared to juicy, sweet fresh fruits from the So Pacific. The USA has enough equipments in space that can pinpoint what is located under an entire area of land. So if Haiti really had this petroleum they would have been in Haiti already negotiating for a large share and offering the Haitian government all kinds of billion dollar loans not to improve the country but to build the refineries. But in turn, that would cause Haitians to become dependent on the U.S, and the US would drive the price of their oil down. Only a trickle of that money would find its way to the Haitian econonomy. This is one of the reasons Fidel didn't want to phuck w/ the U.S but many Cubans just don't get it. Obama does, & supposedly going to now lift sanctions off of Cuba so the ppl can eat, etc. When the US wants something, they're known for TAKING IT which is why the US gov is labeled a bully, and hated through out the world.Especially when Bush was in office & went after Saddam when it was the ARABS who attacked us. Bush wanted oil which is why Saddam had blew up all their oil wells which was shown on the news, as the US military went in. Obama wants to change America's rep. I know haitians aren't the only nationality with that attitude. Furthermore, Haitians are HUMBLE people. Despite what CNN is reporting Haiti IS NOT THE POOREST COUNTRY IN THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE. There are other countries that are poorer they're just not reported. Enjoy the rest of the year.

MEXICO CITY, Jan. 13 (Xinhua news) -- Planes have started to land in Port-au-Prince with drinking water, food, special tools, rescuers and doctors as Latin American countries acted to help Haiti out of the aftermath of Tuesday's magnitude-7.0 earthquake. A Venezuelan plane was among the first to touch down in Port-au-Prince with 14 tons of relief supplies and 39 rescuers. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said it was the first aid flight from his country, hinting there would be more into the Caribbean island state. Two military planes took off from Brazil with 21 tons of relief supplies while the Brazilian government announced the country was providing Haiti with an emergency fund of 15 million U.S. dollars. Chile was sending overnight a plane loaded with 12 tons of relief supplies along with doctors and rescuers with specially trained sniff dogs.
