If you are a regular reader of MTO, then you know as well as I do that WE rip each other apart on here daily - RARE is the occasion that I can visit a story and even 50% of the comments are positive, even on a positive story (which is rare for MTO) like a simple picture of a mother with her two sons walking down the street.
So, at the end of the day, the issue here is not about whether we all have mommies and daddies (mine have been together for 34 years) but the POINT I made that was apparently missed is that we can sit in judgement of a woman because she has two kids and SHE not still be with that man (although she adopted) yet I'm willin to bet that most of the people who MAKE those type comments aren't with THEIR baby daddy.

I was raised by my mom and dad, they were together until i was like 5, my mom got married but my father was there for me until he died. My stepfather was there, an asssshole but he definatelt took care of my sisters and myself. Its kinda wierd that none of my sisters r married but have baby daddies and i'm the only one no kids, but wanting to b married. No one talks about marriage in my family, my cousins just wanna have a baby with their man, nothing against them, but its kinda sad that no one is trying to b some type of stablility for themselves and their kids. I have maybe 2-3 friends that r married, none of my other friends even talk about it. Most r just content with just having their man's baby. |

To my knowledge, Robin adopted both of those boys as infants. It was reported in Jet each time. She probably got them very quickly too because black and biracial children are considered "hard" to place. Heck, there are several thousand black children in the foster care system already.

@Uncletom: You are correct on some things about skin complexion. There are barely any darker skinned people on any of the Soaps and this includes Telemundo too. Many of the darker skinned women (with large butts of course) are in the music videos with Nelly and some of the rappers though--the more exploitative ones.
However, Hollywood is trying to ease into the interracial love affairs with their top black male stars by first having their love interests be Hispanic or Asian. Eva and Wil together was so cute. There would be no qualms right now from many white movie goers if Denzel were put with a white actress. Many sisters might not take it too well though because many seem to get so upset with it on this message board. Doesn't bother me because the man has tried everything to broaden his craft.
Modeling is doing much better with darker skinned Latinos and Africans. Alec Wek is so cute.

Those kids are great looking (especially the little one) and nothing is wrong with their hairstyles. I'm a product of bi-racial parents and kids always come out looking beautiful! You haters need to get a grip on reality. Unless you were born 'deep' into the 'bush' in Africa, you're probably 'mixed'. I call myself a 'Mulatto' and am proud to be both black and white!
