I would definately let the co-workers know that whatever issues the have with your mother/their supervisor, is best left between them.

As for your mom, she could keep work issues or whatever she disscusses with the subordinates, between the ones involved as well. That way, it doesn't put you in an akward situation to take things personally and cause a conflict of interest.

I'd definately let them know though, that it's not your fault or problem that your mom was placed in an authority position, but they should respect that and maintain some professionalism.

You're the enemy now, because everytime they have an issue with her, they're not going to trust that you won't run to her everytime something gets said. Maintain yourself as much as possible though. This could be an opportunity for your own growth with the company.
