: With the writers strike set to shutting down production at many major studios, TV networks are turning to reality shows. And there's one reality show being pitched that's getting a good bit of attention.
MediaTakeOut.com has learned that a production company associated with Will Smith is pitching a reality show that follows his family. One network insider told MediaTakeOut.com, "The show follows the life of Jada, Will and the children - with the focus mostly on Jada and the children ... According to the producers, the Smith's are somewhere between the Osbourne's, who are crazy, and the Simmons' - who are a little too wholesome."
And according to the insider, many networks are interested. The exec told MediaTakeOut.com, "The series looks attractive on paper - but with the strike, it looks like American Idol."

Don't do it Will. Reality shows are usually the desperate last ditch efforts of washed-up stars (see: Being Bobby Brown, Run's House, I Married a Baller, Gotti's Way, Salt & Pepper, Flavor of Love, Surreal World, the list goes on and on...) Relevant stars don't need it and *** do it. I doubt it happens.
THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!!! Willow (their daughter) made a commnet on the red carpet *** about how she would like the family to do the Smiths and her Mother (Jada) clearly replied "no baby that is not going to happen, the world is not ready for the Smith's". Stop looking for news MTO or better yet watch some it then you will have your info correct.
Even though I have mad love for Big Will, his kids are too precocious and his wife Jada is corny. Now Run's House is a great show. Top notch! While the Simmons family has money they are still down to earth and seem like an average family and I love the way Rev Run and his wife run their family. BUT I will give Will's show a try before I brush it off the way I tried Snoop's show which I don't like.

I watched it to and your correct....MTO is so full of sh**..Their a little to private to be having a reality show...That *** Snoop Dog Fatherhood show is so *** scripted,and I don't think those are Snoops kids playing those roles.
HEYTROY- Did you notice when they showed Denzel and his wife last ***, that jacket color she was wearing was not the same color as what MTO had showing....MTO YOUR A TRIP!!!!!!!
I think this is great. I love both will and jada and they deserve all the good things that comes their way. If ppl haven't realized, reality shows are the new thing. Reality shows gets the ratings. Yes we know that they are scipted but we still watch them, so why not. It's ok for everyone else to do it...*** why not let our ppl get a piece of the money as well. They also own a production company so they are probably raking in a lot of doe with this deal. Godo for you guys. And FYI "all of us" is LOOSELY based on the lifes of will and jada prior to will and jada's marriage and the sorts...that was YEARS ago...this is a new life...CONGRATS!!!
FAMILIARITY BREEDS CONTEMPT...Don't do it Will & Jada! Celebrities who were famous before the age of reality shows run the risk of tarnishing their image after doing reality tv. Fans should not know everything about your lives and if I were managing your careers I'd say stay away from unscripted tv.

I really hope this is a bad rumor. I think reality shows are mainly for people that are making a last pathetic attempt to revive their career. I personally like watching reality tv shows, but I definitely think that this would be a wack move for Will and Jada.....the whole idea would just be corny!!

I totally agree with your post....I thought I was the onlyest one who noticed that when these celebrity couples do these reality shows they almost always end up breaking up.
Also, arent we just a lil bit worn out on the Pinkett-Smith's?? Love'em and all but I myself am "unsurprised" that they want to do this.....Will just gotta be in that limelight some kinda way.
I hate to tell you but Jada says this is something her son wants and she and Will had to explain to him that it would never happened. so don't be so quick to pat yourselves on the back. Remember the Queen Latifah getting married story yes you were the only one to report it and it wasn't true either.
Established celebrities do these shows to launch the careers of their children, who never have to work to get their record deals, movie roles, or whatever the case may be. Pure nepotism. The Smiths don't need to do this; they most likely won't. Plus, it doesn't work for everybody, as we can see with the terrible mess that is Snoop's show. His wife appears to be sleepy and painfully aware of the cameras. It's awful. Run's House is OK, but obviously very scripted. On all of these shows, the kids will get older and regret doing it.
