And before you laugh, we're being told EXCLUSIVELY that Gary is extremely sick right now and really needs the money. According to a person close to Gary, he now undergoes dialysis nearly every day.

I know he has a bad kidney disease so this may be true, but even if it is, this is not a funny situation..dialysis is some serious ish and it indicates that someone is close to death. My dad just died of diabetes and was constantly on dialysis.

I can't truly say I know what he's going through because my health is in good standings with god right now, but I do have a friend who's going through the exact same thing. She needs a kidney and she undergoes dialysis as well. She has a strong heart, she's still dating, she has kids, and she likes going to the clubs. She mention to me that she's going to live her life to the fullest because she doesn't know when her calling comes, so she wants to have fun in everything she does. So far as self esteem he's probably in his first stages of dealing with it, and from the looks of it he don't really know how, because my friend know she's very ill, but she still insist on being happy, and having fun.
secondcomingfirst.... just so you know before you crack jokes, that "ash" is a common problem wth those undergoing dialyisis. When you have kidney problems it takes it's toll on your skin. OMG .... can'tbeieve someone said that being on dialysis means you are close to death (news to me )...since when? You will be if you don't go !!!!
In the pic it says that "these mark are made by a kidney dialysis machine" Okay the machine dosn't leave marks .. the machine never touches the patient. There are two methods of gaining access to the blood ... via a catheter in the chest that goes up into the neck .. which most people have at first and then via a vascular access.... AV Graft of ***.... The onl "marks" would be needle marks from the needle insertion ... or an aneuryism from too many needle sticks in one place.
If he has been on dialysis his whole life it is highly improbable that he has a catheter because they take them out as soon as a vascular access is put in ... because catheters have a high infection rate.
Also standard dialysis is 3 xs a week 4 to 4 and a half hrs each time.... if he is going everyday then it would mean that he is eating something he *** because toxins don't build up at that rate to require it .... either that or he is on Daily *** treatment dialysis .. where he dialyzes aprox 2 hrs a day for 6 days a week ... which some people report to feel better when on this kind .... then they also have nocturnal dialysis when you dialyze *** as you sleep ... then there is peritoneal, capd, and ccpd ...
also if you read the aricle ... the seller of the pants is NOT gary ... but some one in posesson of the autoraphed pants .....

This is so sad!! I saw the story about his life on E! one day. His adoptive parents took ALL his money when he was a child and spent it on vacation homes and material possessions for themselves. By the time he was of age, he had to take them to court to try and get some of it back. Now he's a grown man who's made millions, but has nothing to show for it.
Gary got a raw deal.His parents got a hold of his Different Strokes money, he would be rich if they had the child labor laws been as tough as they are today. I believe this was one of the incidents that made them write tougher laws. This boy worked his rump off and has nothing to show for it. very sad indeed. Praying for you Gary

They said that that was the spot in which they took thier treatment. So I think the actual MACHINE may not make the mark but the process is what causes it. I don't know though. It reminds me of that movie starring Denzel Washington...John Q...his son was in need of a heart transplant, and the hospital refused them because they didn't have money or the "right type" of insurance, so Denzel's character sold everything in his home, and did all kinds of hustling to get money for the operation. Did anyone laugh at that movie? Just because it's not happening to us or to someone in our family doesn't mean that it's funny when it's someone else. I just checked those pants on Ebay and they are selling!!!!!! Right now, it is 20 bids, going for $93. But check this out...the reserve is not met. Meaning that he has a hidden set price for them. If no one hits the price that he is asking for, they won't win the bid.
I think that it is not a good idea to set a reserved price on them due to him desperately needing money. Take what you can. Don't be greedy.

Gary Coleman is a former child actor best known for his role as Arnold Jackson on the hit late 1970s - mid 1980s family sitcom, Diff'rent Strokes.
Coleman was born on February 8, 1968 in Zion, Illinois and was adopted by Willie and Sue Coleman. He suffers from a congenital kidney disease causing nephritis (an autoimmune destruction of the kidney). The disease stunted his growth at an early age, leading to his very small stature of only 4ft 8in in height. He has undergone two kidney transplants, one in 1973 and one in 1984, and requires daily dialysis.
Coleman became a major TV star when he was cast as Arnold Jackson on the sitcom Diff'rent Strokes in 1978. The Arnold Jackson character and his brother Willis Jackson (played by fellow washed-up celebrity Todd Bridges) were the children of the maid of Phillip Drummond (played by Conrad Bain), a wealthy Caucasian man who lived in the penthouse of a ritzy co-op building in New York City. When their mother died, Mr. Drummond adopted Arnold and Willis.
The entire premise of Diff'rent Strokes is extremely difficult to believe - a rich white man going into a Harlem neighborhood and adopting two young black kids would certainly raise some red flags in the real world, as many might think that the man was some kind of sick pervert who had ulterior motives for adopting the kids. However, Diff'rent Strokes was a huge hit for its nearly 10 seasons and was very popular among families with young children. His character's catchphrase, "what'chu talkin' 'bout, Willis?" became widely quoted among his fans.
Although Coleman was the biggest star of Diff'rent Strokes, he was not able to make the transition over to movies. He did act in a few crappy movies, such as The Kid From Left Field (1979), Scout's Honor (1980), The Kid With The Broken Halo (1982), and The Kid With The 200 I.Q. (1983), but none of them were very successful.
After Diff'rent Strokes went off the air in 1986, Coleman's career hit the skids. He was such a big star on Diff'rent Strokes that he was typecast. He has yet to secure any other decent acting roles other than self-parody roles on TV shows such as Married With Children and The Simpsons.
Although Coleman reportedly earned $18 million from his acting on Diff'rent Strokes, his entire fortune has been squandered, forcing him to declare bankruptcy in 1999. In an effort to raise money in the late 1990s he actually sold some afro picks and his size 4 1/2 bowling shoes. Coleman blames his parents and former manager for wasting his personal fortune. In 1993 he sued his parents for raiding his accounts and won a $1.3 million judgment against his parents.
Coleman also has anger management issues that flare up when he is harassed by rude fans. Coleman was charged with assault in 1998 after he punched Tracy Fields, an extremely rude woman who was bothering Coleman while he was at a mall shopping for a *** vest for a security guard job. Coleman, who reportedly only weighed about 86 pounds, claimed to have been frightened by Fields, a 5-foot, six inch tall 205-lb woman. The obese Fields requested an autograph and was apparently upset when he gave her his mere signature, saying "Ain't you gonna put something nice on it?"
Coleman responded, "You really don't need that. You're just going to show it off to your friends. That's really my signature." Fields then reportedly told Coleman that his "badass attitude" was the reason that he has never been a success as an adult actor. Coleman was upset, said "You black people are all alike," and that he hated black people. Coleman also grabbed the autograph he had given to Fields and ripped it in half. Fields reportedly responded, "Well, you're just a little punk-*** ***!"
Coleman and Fields were yelling at each and Coleman later reported that he was really scared because "Her breasts were practically hitting me in the head. I'm 4-foot, 8 inches, 86 pounds of nothing." Coleman subsequently punched Fields and left the store. Coleman later received a 90-day suspended sentence for striking Fields and was openly mocked by the media for his actions.
Coleman re-entered the public eye in 2003, when he ran in the California state gubernatorial recall election, finishing 8th with 14,242 votes.
In 2004 Coleman made a special guest appearance on the second season of The Surreal Life. In the episode in which he appeared, the washed-up celebrities from that season (including fellow washed-up celebrity Vanilla Ice) were supposed to work at a Mel's Diner in Hollywood. The producers brought in Coleman to be the manager of the Mel's Diner for that episode. Vanilla Ice really wanted Coleman to say his catchphrase "Whatchoo talkin' bout Willis?" and was insulted when Coleman refused to say it. So Vanilla Ice picked up Coleman and threatened to throw Coleman in a deep fryer unless he said that catchphrase. Coleman was very embarassed and shocked by Vanilla Ice's actions and stormed out of the restaurant saying that he hated Vanilla Ice.
Coleman also received some undesired attention on July 26, 2007, when he was cited for misdemeanor disorderly conduct by a Provo, Utah, police officer after he was seen having a "heated discussion" with a woman. Police were called after witnesses saw Coleman becoming upset and hitting the steering wheel of his vehicle during a heated discussion with an unidentified woman, according to reports.
For all of the reasons discussed above, Gary Coleman is one washed-up celebrity!

GARY MADE 18 MILLION DOLLARS ACTING ON DIFFERENT STROKES AND THE COUPLE WHO ADOPTED HIM (YES, HE'S ADOPTED) STOLE ALL OF HIS MONEY. HE NEEDS TO BE *** OFF AT THEM. HIS AZZ IS BROKE NOW BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE SICK OF HIS SH*T. YOU HATE BLACK PEOPLE HUH? WELL THE ONES THAT YOU LOVE DON'T SEEM TO BE DOING SH*T FOR YOU.
Wow, I am amazed at some of the post. I doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out most of you were probably were born after 1983 and more than likely you did not read the article and have no clue.
His parents swindled him out of all of his money and he has tried over the years to get it together. Gary Coleman's story isn't funny, its sad and unfortunate. But while some of you are laughing and cracking jokes...remember people reap what they sow. And just because you are hidden behind a computer, doesn't make you exempt for being hit with the misfortunes of life this year. Keep laughing because your life might be turned upside down this year and let's see if you can bounce back or live through it. I hate to hate, (not really) but I feel ya. I was telling my husband the same sh*t last ***. Look - I get it..he worked all those years, and his adoptive parents took their ENTITLEMENT out of his salary. Big deal; they cared for his *** either way, and they didn't have to. Yeah, they adopted him, but can he say that any other adoptive parents would have helped him have a career?
He was an *** from the start of his "career" - he was catered to hand and foot at an early age, and got nasty when he didn't get his way. His attitude is typical - he thinks he's larger than life because of the fame at an early age. So yeah, I believe he DESERVES what he gets now; he's a pompous and spoiled little bas.***. He should be doing cartwheels when ANYONE asks him for an autograph.
He's a washed up egomaniacal adult "CHILD" star with no perception of reality. Sorry for his illness, but he's always had it; he should have used the money he spent "divorcing" his parents to save his health. Hey..you get what you pay for.
