Tim Reid is one of the most brillant and talented pioneers in TV production. Him and his wife Daphne, are considered "trailblazers" for current African American producers, and they deserve our acknowledgement for their contributions.... For folks to say, (based on a picture) he is gay, or just another "crackhead"--too bad, or even Next---who cares.....is so disrespectful. And ultimately, is doing themselves a diservice by showing their lack of knowledge and concern about a extraordinary man.

The posters being disrespectful to Tim Reid, not neccessary. Believe me when I say, Mr. Reid has been dissed HARSH by Hollywood over the years. From what I've heard, he still gets the runaround (from black and white execs) in a way that doesn't seem possible for someone with his credentials. Sometimes a brother needs a drink or two. At least he's getting help. And at least he didn't throw his life away when he was at the top of his game (Britney, Lindsay -- Hell, Whitney). But at least he recognizes that it's time to stop. And as for all the homophobic comments, grow up black people. We all have gays and lesbians in our families or as friends, why are we still talking about them being "suspect" or "shady"? For the record, Mr. Reid is not gay. Harrison Ford is the same age and he wears an earring. Is he gay? Do black people even SUGGEST it?
