: It appears that hip hop star T.I.'s criminal charges are beginning to affect him financially. A person close to the Atlanta native tells MediaTakeOut.com that TI has begun to sell off his assets.
According to a source close to T.I., the rapper is feeling the pressure of the upcoming trial. The insider explained to MediaTakeOut.com, "It's not like T.I.'s broke, but now that he can't tour - money's not coming in like it used to."
TI is reportedly selling off his interest in popular Atlanta auto shop Elite Auto. And MediaTakeOut.com has learned that he's also in the process of selling off a number of his personal automobiles.
The insider told MediaTakeOut.com, "He knows that [there's a possibility] that he'll be in prison for a long time, so he's doing what he can to make sure that his family will have enough to live comfortably without him."

Remember when TLC and Toni Braxton filed bankruptcy? We wondered how they could be crying broke when they sold millions of CD's. A lot of artists get advances from record companies that the companies must recoup. So artists are already playing catch up while trying to project the image that they are balling. It wouldn't surprise me if this were happening to T.I. So he might have to sell his material possessions for his legal defense and to have money for his family.
