: MediaTakeOut.com has learned that Chauncey Hannibal (AKA Chauncey Black), a former member of the R&B group Blackstreet was arrested in California for non-payment of child support and has since been extradited to Virginia where he's being held at the Virginia Beach City Jail.
A spokesman for the jail said that Chauncey, 39, was extradited on charges of grand larceny, desertion or non-support of a spouse or children, and failure to appear in court on an unrelated criminal charge.
MediaTakeOut.com has learned that Chauncey is currently being held without bond. He's scheduled to see the judge today.
Chauncey's larceny charge stems from allegations that the former R&B star looted a three-bedroom, $592,000 house after he had been evicted in July 2006.

This is the same old story for a lot of guys. The law finally caught up with him, thats all. I didn't think men went to jail for not paying for their kids, until I had to go to court with a friend and saw it with my own eyes. The judge called the prisoners up to the front, and name of all they kids and how much money he behind for them! A damn shame a grown man, has to go to jail in and be forced to pay for the kids he made! And wether you trifilin men like it or not the baby mama is going to get the money. The child support payments come on a debit card for them now!
i used 2 love blackstreet back in the days,at that time,them and other singers was the shyt until the 2day artists fuked music indutstry up but damn,black,why u and other brothas dont pay child support 4 ya kids?(no disrepect 2 the men of color).it is time 2 man-up and be very responable and they shouldnt knock their baby mamas up so they wouldnt have that problem.
