: If Jennifer Hudson though it was difficult doing a movie with Beyonce - that may have been a cake walk. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that Tyler Perry has decided to cast Jennifer Hudson as the lead in his new film The Family That Preys Together. And that move has dozens of established Black actresses furious.
One top list actress spoke to MediaTakeOut.com on the condition of anonymity. She explained, "There are so many real actresses here and he went and chose Jennifer Hudson? Do you know how many people worked on [Tyler's] projects when he was a nobody ... and now that he has a [movie] budget, he must have forgot who the [EXPLETIVE] we are."
And the actress, who claims she speaks for many in Hollywood, had a lot more fire to tell MediaTakeOut.com. She added, "How can you have Jennifer Hudson being the lead - and Alfre [Woodard] and Sanaa [Lathan] supporting her - what kind of sense does that make ... I mean what does he think this is - it's not a musical. [Jennifer's] not going to be singing anything."
Sanaa Lathan, Kathy Bates, Alfre Woodard and Rockmond Dunbar have already signed on to Tyler's new film. It's scheduled to begin filming in early March.

However, when we’re actually in a situation in which the truth is distorted or hidden, is it really better to know? Or should we follow the proposal of Mario Winans of not wanting to know?
In a previous and highly controversial note “Power of the P-U-S-S-Y” I stated that both men and women cheat, however, I went on to elaborate on the different reasons leading to their infidelities. Women, I said, cheat for a legitimate reason; because we are in search of fulfillment when things in our relationship are continuously neglected. Meanwhile, men cheat because they fall victim of a woman’s ultimate power… Her [EXPLETIVE].
Within this past week, I’ve held several conversations with a male individual who states and stands by the statement, “it is in a man’s nature to be with more than one woman.” Scratching my head in utter confusion and divergence, I ask him to elaborate. He then goes on to tell me:
“There is no such thing as a loyal or faithful man. A man controls his actions [infidelities] when he feels he has something he doesn’t want to compromise or jeopardize in compensation for his actions; may it be a wife, his family, etc. Although a man may choose to control his infidelities, it doesn’t affect the fact that it’s in his nature to be with more than one woman, thus, any man who isn’t gay or is in his right mind are not exempt and will at some point think about it [another woman].”
Still a little thrown off and curious to get a second man’s opinion, I write my good friend Latavious asking him his perspective on this statement. His response, “It's human nature to indulge in carnal desires. It's human nature to be selfish, and to lust and want something that doesn't belong to them. So in that sense yes, I agree. But it's in a woman's nature also.”
Is it really in a woman’s nature to be with more than one man? Using Latavious’ perspective to challenge that of Man X, I get the following response; “If dick was in a woman’s nature, this place [the world] would be chaotic. If women loved sex and thought about sex as much as men, there’d hardly be any relationships. Women are negative, men are positive, and the two opposites attract. To love sex and think about it a lot is not in a woman’s nature.”
Again I scratch my head. I know a few women who love sex and think about it a lot [I plead the fifth lol]. So why is it too not in a woman’s nature? Of course Man X has an answer for this as well.
“Women have sex because they feel like it or are in the mood. Women have sex to satisfy their man or have a reason to do it.” On the contrary, “it’s automatic for men. Men don’t have to know the girl or her name. It’s simply in a man’s nature. Being emotional is a woman’s nature; being sensitive, wanting affection, and nurturing. Women are natural nurturers.”
So here I am now sitting at my laptop, my mind swarming with questions, thoughts, and utter confusion. I now second guess the views discussed and argued in my previous note “Power of the P-U-S-S-Y.” Do men cheat because they are weak and fall victim to a woman’s [EXPLETIVE]? Or do men cheat simply because it is in their nature?
Is it a fact that because we cannot think like men, understand and interpret like men, or relate to men completely [because we are women] that we don’t believe it is a man’s nature to be with more than one woman? If you know your history, you know we’ve all derived from Africa, the Mother Land. You know that polygamy is and has always been practiced here. Have we fallen victim to western world teachings declaring one man to one woman is right and anything different is wrong?
Who am I to say? I’m just one woman and I’ll be damned if my man is running around creeping with another woman. And that’s why I say:

Uh Jennifer won an Oscar. What have the other hating actresses won? You don't win an Oscar for singing. It's for acting, and apparantly, the Academy thought she was good enough at it to win. I think most of the anger stems from the fact that as actors, acting is your bread and butter. It's an artform that we take very seriously. There are thousands of actors that hit that pavement everyday, some looking for that big and some who just act because that's what they love to do. There are so many great obscure actors out there, but of course this is a business and as such what's hot at that moment is what matters. TP has a solid reputation in the S.E. of casting the majority of his leads in either Hollywood or NY and throw his native Atlanteans a bone with sprinkled extra,one liners,etc. His company is based in ATL, but I guess those actors just aren't good enough for lead roles. Alfre Woodard and Sanna have been around for years and guess what? No Oscar...probably not even any nominations. I have all the respect in the world for black actresses...however, this is TYLER's movie, not yours. He's entitle to cast whomever he wants to play whatever part. When you get your own production company off the ground, then YOU can cast who YOU want. But until then, keep doing what you're doing. Keep your attitude together. Jennifer is a hot Oscar winner - that alone will bring the offers. And Tyler, being the genius that he is, knew exactly who to cast dependent on the type of role that he was casting for. As some have said before this, many are hating on Jennifer because she didn't have to scratch her way to the top in some "supporting" capacity. And that's because she proved, straight out of the box, that she already has what it takes to make it at the top of the game. I know exactly who gave you this story: Tichina Arnold. It's obvious for four reasons: 1. She threw Jennifer some major demonstrative shade at an award show last year when Jennifer beat her for best actress. She was obviously mad, she gave Jennifer the hissing "this is ridiculous" face until they took the camera away.
2. The award show was either an NAACP or BET production...and the face she made is consistent with this statement. She looked at Jennifer like "this is a black show and they're picking your overrated white-man's-diva ass."

Yes those are good points that you mentioned! I don't think Halle is that great of an actor but she is smart when it comes to picking her roles. But for the actors who are hating on J-Hud they should be happy any black person got an oscar! It's not like black actors recieve them every year! So they need to support each other instead on hating on each other in Hollywood! I also feel the same way about the grammys just because you have alot of grammy's doesn't mean you are more talented. Eddie even joked that the money was an issue for him and the billionaire producer told him sometimes the money is important. To be black, over the age of 40 and female in Hollywood is tough. All of those actresses you mentioned are well over the age of 40 today. With the exception of a handful of actresses, roles are for that demographic are tougher to come by. If they didn't really blow up when they were young, then it's unlikely that it's gonna happen when they are older.

What I love about Tyler is he gives a chance to the truly talented actors and actresses and doesn't try to run and put the most popular people of the moment in his films. Like "Why Did I Get Married" - instead of Meagan Good or Lauren London, he put Tasha Smith. Instead of Halle Berry, he put Sharon Leal, instead of Nia Long, he put Jill Scott. My mom said "he just skipping all over Beyonce, he must not like her". I'm glad he's choosing an Academy-Award winning actress with real talent instead of a popular singer who gets movie roles simply because she's a popular singer.
