: Why can't we all just get along. According to one of MediaTakeOut.com faithful readers, Fantasia Barrino was talking sideways about fellow R&B singer Keyshia Cole.
Here's what happened - in the words of our faithful reader:
But something strange happened. After my sister got the autograph, [my sister's] told Fantasia that she and Keyshia Cole were [my sister's] favorite singers. Fantasia looked a little upset and just broke into song and sang a verse I've never heard before. I can't lie it sounded real good too.
Then Fantasia said, "Could Keyshia Cole do that." My sister was like "No." And Fantasia said, "She wishes she could do that."
To me it was kind of tacky for Fantasia to say that. But I like Fantasia better so - oh well. Dang 'Tasia. Why do you gotta go telling the truth out in public....
No amount of make-up can make Fantasia look hot. And when was the last time you saw a woman singer who looked like she had bitter beer face?

OMG I can't beleive what I've been reading....Now don't get me wrong I like Fantasia but I don't think she can sing better then Keisha...She can't hit those high notes without her voice cracking and going all raspy. But at the same time maybe she does sound better live.( hope thats what you all are refferring to) I read somebody's comment where they said they couldn't listen to Fantasia all day.....me either. Still its 2 different vocal types so probably not best to compare. I admire both women because they sing with their soul.

I went out and bought Keyshia Cole's 1st album, haven't bought anything by Fantasia YET! Well, the Summertime single...but, does that count???

I Love Fantasia's voice and Keyshia's voice these two females are using their God given talents that I'm proud of, but to try and compare who does what better there will always be something different that each bring to the table. True is true. There is no day of the week when Keyshia Cole is a better singer that Fantasia. Having heard Keyshia live on more than one occasion, she couldn't carry a tune in a bucket with a kickstand and a safety belt. She will only sound good with the aid of studio tricks. As for style, Keyshia wins hands down, but the vocals are what matter.

I'm not sure how true the story is but Fantasia is my girl and so is Keyshia, anyways, if yo guys remember, when they were both on tour with Jamie Foxx; supposedly there was some tension between the two of them then. Supposedly it started because Keyshia was on 106 & Park, nd she was asked who was on our with her, she named names and then she said "Oh and that girl from American Idol" Thats not a direct quote but I did see the episode and thats how it went and thats where the supposed drama began so beef between the two is not new. I love them both.

Have y'all not heard the ***.C Commercial on MTV where she is sitting on the park bench with her two background singers.. they sounded awful, changed keys twice, harmonies never locked in... Fantasia has the edge here. She could blow a song WITHOUT any music at all. I've heard her do it before. Now Keyshia's bad too. I bought her CD yesterday and I haven't stopped playing it yet. My only wonder is what would happen if suddenly Keyshia didn't have the music to back her up...? Keyshia has more style and a touch or should I say a HANDFUL of "ghetto" in her which I love. It makes her more down to earth. Fantasia comes from "hard times" too but I wonder if she sometimes forget where she came from. Why do it all come down to looks?? The issue is singing and in y opinion fantasia can sing smoke around keisha. I live in ohio and bought a ticket for my sister to see keisha in concert and she cancelled stating that it was to cold to perform. what REAL artist would let a fan of fans down because of weather. as for me I am a PATTI LaBelle fan and she performs in all season's. not that's an artist.

I tried really hard not to post, but this good and bad hair, whether your dark or your fair, *** is old! Keyshia Cole is singing is far better than it was and she has talent. She could be around for awhile, if she distance the circus of a family she has. Fantasia Barrino needs to stop singing and talking through her nose. She has potential talent,but her attitude is getting beside her. I am not a fan of Fantasia's because just like Beyonce I cannot distinguish her songs, they all sound the same.

Fantasia was on the Michael Baisden show last year talking about how Beyonce was acting over Jennifer Hudson getting all the attention from the movie, 'Dreamgirls.' I have to say thet having seen and heard Fantasia perform before , she is a much better singer/ artist than Keshia (Ghetto)Coles. Can we please appreciate the diversity among our lovely R&B artists? Beyonce, Fantasia, Alicia, Keyshia and the rest all have their own styles and looks and it is GREAT!! Granted some have better voices but every singer isn't going to sound the way you would like them to.

I totally agree with you both of there voices annoy the *** out of me! Especially Fantasia, I can at least listen to an entire song by Keshia but Fantasia’s voice annoys me so much I have to change the station. The argument should be who sings the worst! Matter of fact Tasia is the only Black singer that can brag about her singing ability in my book. She is the only person that I have heard (American Idol) that can sing without any equipment enhancing, editing, mixing, and synthsizing her voice for the public. Basically, she can see without help from digital equipment, getting naked, and doing lapdances.

I’m not digesting any of this MTO!!! At any rate, I’ve heard both of these ladies live and Fantasia is a lot better; hands down… Don’t get me wrong, I like Keyshia’s music. LOVE is one of my favorite songs, but I was very disappointed when I went to see her live. She had difficulties hitting her notes; especially when she performed Love. However, Fantasia bellowed all of her songs for the Color Purple.

Ok here's the real deal me and my girlfriend agree that KEISHA is the bigger star. She has more mass appeal, more style, and her production is tighter on her albums. But jus straight up blowing.I have to give it to FANTASIA. KEISHA doesnt sound bad either. But some of you made a good point, they have 2 different styles but FANTASIA is more polished in the vocal department.
where did all these *** come from? since when has the singing game not been a contest. yes keisha and fantasia have different styles but one is clearly better than the other. fantasia can sing rings around keysha and everybody, including keisha, knows it. i'm a fan of both of them but tasia got something keisha don't. we all know record sales has nothing to do with talent, if that was the case vanilla ice would be one of the best rappers of all times.

Why are you acting like Keyshia sells so many more records than Fantasia? They are both about EVEN in amount of albums sold.
Keyshia's 1st album= 1.4 million Keyhsia's 2nd album-1 million Total= 2.4 million
Fantasia 1st album- 1.8 million Fantasia 2nd album 500k Total= 2.3 million
Plus Tasia has a better acting resume. If you ask me both are about equally successful, but Fantasia outweighs with her better vocals.

uh honey, i actually saw her in the color purple and she was WONDERFUL but keisha has her reality show and she gets way more respect in the game. They both have sold the same amount (both a little over 2 million). But if you want to get technical Fantasia has sold more Worldwide. So what exactly is your point? In your breakdown of sales you also forgot to mention Keyshia Cole has had 3 singles and 3 videos, while Fantasia has only had 2. Keyshia has been on 3 tours so far, while Fantasia has been on Broadway bringing in millions for Oprah. And first album Keyshia had 4 single and 4 videos while Fantasia only had 2 videos. Fantasia is also working on a new album to release this year...
So rep Keyshia like you want but state FACTS in doing so.
