I disagree, if all marriage is to some is "a title to show off" then folks like that need not marry, and really do not understand the signifigance of it at all. How can you not be ready to dedicate your life and be committed to a person but you will spread seeds and have a child with that very person. That makes zero sense to me...like okay, I don't know if I am ready to marry you, but sure lets have a few kids and be bonded for the next 18 years as co-parents. Then it does not work out and you have 2,3,4 baby daddys and thinking it is "ok" because society has it backwards? I just do not agree with that. When I was in high school it was shameful and rare that a girl was pregnant. Forget about living with someone and not being married. I'm not old either. It's sad that these Black girls are allowing these men to have so much control over them, having kids out of wedlock like it's in style with no shame in their game. Congrats if it's true. However they've been engaged for 4 years, made a baby after the engagement and now she's pregnant again?! Personally I have a problem with that. Why bring a baby intot he world with someone you aren't sure you want to be committed to. Some folks don't desire marrigae and that's fine. For those that do and continue to have babies out of wedlock why waste your time. I am not a fan of shackign up with a man! If he loved, respected and cherished you enough he'd marry u! |

This is just my opinion:
I personally don't give a rat's a$$ if they get married twenty years from now! As long as they raise their children in a respectable manner!! Everybody is ranting and raving about they need to get married! And half of those may I ask where is YOUR wedding band? I will admit that four years is a long time to be engaged, but I respect the fact that they're not rushing into a quick "I do" only to end up replying with an even quicker "I DON'T!" It's not like this child they're having is going to affect anybody on this website (except those who wish they were the mother or father)!

As for the people saying you don't have to be married to have kids how about you just chill out until you FIND that person you can love and marry and THEN have kids. It's soo funny caue where I'm from, me and my friend are about the only people who don't have babies, and then these chicks get mad when we don't congratulate them and coo over their babies. Well CONGRATS to them!!!!!! As far as the whole marriage before babies or just being a "baby Momma"...Hmmmmmm...I guess I can say I feel both sides since I've been there, My husband and I had our 2 boys before we wed. When I got pregnant both times I knew we made great parents and we worked well together being parents so I had my baby boys, but we had issues as far as getting along and neither of us was sure we were ready to say we wanted to be togther forever. BUT I will also admit it scared me thinking about being a "career girlfriend", we finally decided to do the "right thing" and be a good example for our boys. It will be a one year 3/3 and no regrets so far :-)!!!!!! basically I'm saying I understand both arguments, but it's their lives to live and only they can say when and if they get married or not!!!! |
