@ CollegePark-ATL I am sorry that your encounters with my fellow latinos have been so negative. Many darker skinned latinos use the "n" word because we are often referred to as such and often refer to each other as such. Self hatred is rampant among Domincans and many latinos not just exclusive to the African-American community. I do not know the reasons behind your previous dates and why their families did not want you to date their daughters but in my house, its about preservation of culture. We have two distinctly different cultures, language, history, and often times religion which is often overlooked in the passion of a new romance but down the line such large cultural differences can separate a couple. I know I used to be married to an African-American man.
