Kimbo may be the scarriest man on the planet. Trust me Tank is no punk. I've seen whoop some a$$ in the ring. But, I knew he couldnt do anything with Kimbo. Tank will never get himself in shape and he tires out easily. He's really just a bar fighter. Kimbo looks like he's lost some weight. He's in the best shape, he's motivated, and talented. Now he's got the martial arist skills on top of it. He was already a bad azz to begin with.
you can see in Tanks eyes, he was scared before the fight even started. the same kind of fear Mike Tyson used to put in his opponents in the 80's. The guy was scared stiff. Im not scared of him and I see 3 weaknesses in Kimbros defense and 1 in his offense. I'll knock him out and then help him to his feet and buy him a hamburger. Thats the kinda Scot I am.
Not to take anything away from Kimbo. The man is a beast, but Tank has been washed up since the late 90s/early 2000. The man has got to be in his 40s/50s by now.
Have him fight someone good in the UFC. Even if it is someone with little experience. Since you can't just start out at the top. This has to be just a promotional fight, or something to get Kimbo's confidence up.

The fact is that the guy Kimbo fought is way passed his prime and in his 40s. Why not let Kimbo fight Tito Ortiz or Chuck Liddell, so he can get beat. 99% of you guys don't know how to fight so saying Kimbo is bad is a overstatement.
Guess Tank never watched any of Kimbo's tapes. Dude could sit there and just take shots to the face like it ain nothing. From big dudes at that. Kimbo is a force, and thats without contesting. Should have did your homework and hit the gym more Tank. You may have landed a few more hits before the same outcome.
I have to admit Tank is past his prime, but that was one hell of a knock out. Problem with Kimbo is none of the "real" fighters what to fight him. A Tito Ortiz or a Chuck Laddel will never step in the octagon with Kimbo, that dude is a beast. Hell i think UFC is too scared to give him a shot because he aint a martial artist he's a pure street fighter.

if Tank would have been strong enough to take him down when they began, it might have ended differently. Kimbo's Hand game is on a thousand, but I'm waiting to see him brawl with a fighter that is as strong as he is AND has a good ground game...the only way we'll know Kimbo is the man is when he finally gets on the ground...but he PUNISHED tank!
As crazy as this sport is, I still don't have a real problem with it. If these grown men have nothing better to do, well...However, it really raises the question, should mike vick be in jail? Kimbo Slice is not ready to take on an experienced MMA artistwho is in their prime yet. This is why he is being waded in slowly like any other begining boxer or MMA artist would be. Maybe in a boxing ring Klitschko would win but I bet he would get some serious knots and cuts from the encounter. I have watched all of Kimbos fights and he has the heart of fighter and a good chin. In the fight against the Boston cop Kimbos conditioning was the issue as well choke holds being appiled by the cop in what was supposed to be a BARE KNUCKLE FIGHT. The time will come when he will meet his match but he should not just be thrown in against grapplers and BJJ artists until he gets maybe 15 or so fights under his belt against different styles. Don't bring your loser racist perspective into this because an over the hill overhyped Tank Abbot got destroyed. Where were the confederate comments when Kimbo beat Ray Mercer, A Brotha?!?

I really don't agree with that statement because Vladimir Klitschko can't street fight. Boxing is totally different and you really can't compare the two. I've seen Kimbo fight several times and I've always been a boxing fan and street fighting and boxing are completely different sports. Vladimir would get beat down in the ring with Kimbo only if Kimbo don't allow Vladimir the opportunity to knock him out with a 1..2.punch
@Originalsin I don't doubt Kimbo won't spar with your boyfriend, But I'll wager that it was because of murderous leg kicks that Thai boxers specialize in and he wanted to save wear and tear his body. Most Thai boxers are too light in the ass for a heavyweight MMA fight.

I understand MMA purists want to see their sport respected and not see a man who has no formal training in the arts to be put in his place. But don't forget Kimbo was whipped into shape before the Mercer bout by a professional MMA fighter (Bas Rueten) so give the man some credit. As I said earlier his test will come soon enough. If the bouts were limited to striking only he would destroy or at the least hold his own against all the fighters you named. Im not a big Kimbo fan but I hate to see brothas not get their due.
