: Looks like we're shaping up for a mainstream media barrage of Clinton love. Despite the fact that Barack Obama won more pledged delegates than she did last night (According to MSNBC's Chuck Todd), and holds an insurmountable delegate lead the media is calling Hillary the winner.
And get this, despite the fact that Hillary has a snowballs chance in hell to re-gain the pledged delegate lead, she's going to force the Democratic Party to go through an expensive nasty, lie-filled campaign where she can intimate that Barack Obama is a Muslim terrorist, a criminal, and an all-around awful guy.
But hey, we can't hate too much on Billary - they won the popular votes in Ohio and Texas. So we guess this is what the voters wanted ...
First off, the delegates haven't finished being distributed. Can't take away Hillary won and won convincingly. He has yet to really win a big state that democrats win in the general election. The media finally started to scrutinize him and he can't take it. If he can't handle Hillary's attack, how in the world is he going to handle John McCain's attacks which will be 3 times worst. As a Dallas, Texas resident, I would like to report our people came out in record numbers. The polls were amazing. On that note I would like to say Go Hilary!!!!!! You will always have my vote. Whoa...wait a minute. Texas showed up. If you read the reports from the local stations in Houston, voters were still standing in line waiting to vote 3 hours AFTER the polls closed. Caucusing didn't start in some areas (predominantly black areas) until almost midnight. We didn't have caucus materials, and in some places, the precinct judges were not there. Back the hell up off of us that stood in line for hours yesterday to vote for Barack. We also were making calls for the last month on behalf of Barack. I personally talked to almost 200 people yesterday. KHOU, KTRK, KPRC. Check 'em out.

All you Hillary supporters are very misinformed. Hillary states that she has 35 years of experience but know one really knows what it is. She said that she helped during her husband’s White House but she will not release what she has actually done until the primaries are over. Why do that? She is doing this because when we do see what she has done it was not much. She said she helped peace talks in Bosnia and we come to find out she was there with Robin Williams to entertain the troops there. Is that her foreign policy experience? Also, she is the only candidate from both parties that has not released her W2. Why? She does not want the people to see that she and her husband have been profiting off of the home foreclosures in the US. They have helped broker deals between the Citigroup and Saudi business men to buy their debt. That’s where that 5 million dollars came from. I do not know what senator has that much money just to spend unless they are getting it from special interest groups. Hillary has divided the Democratic party. Men v Women, Black v Hispanic, etc…She will lose the general election because if she is the nominee and the super delegates go against the will of the people….the people will lose faith in their government yet again and not show up on election day. Who actually thought that Obama would win either of Ohio or Texas? Ohio is traditionally one of the most racist states, and in Texas Hillary swept the old white vote and the Hispanic vote(hispanics are even more racist than the whites), but Obama is still getting th young white and hispanic vote. I'm still troubled that he hasn't won one of the popular states, but don't get swept up into this "The Clintons have done so much for Blacks" fervor...please! Hillary tries to point out Obama's ties to Rezko, no one has more skeletons in their closet than the Clintons, just watch the "Clinton Chronicles", she's a wolf in sheeps clothing. Anyway, I'm in Houston and I caucused last night. It was a nightmare. I've heard stories just this morning from friends about their horrible experiences with the caucus process. Well with my experience, the line for voters was suppose to be cut off at 7:00 pm, but at my location they continuously allowed people to get in line. So voting was done around 8:45 pm, and we started the caucus at 9 pm.
Our precinct judge was not even present. They didn't have enough sign-in sheets, so they had to substitute with these other sheets. They had 2 tables for 200 people to sign-up at. Then when everyone finally signed in, they told us we had to stay for our vote to be counted when they read off all the names. If you left after you signed up, your vote did not count.
Then as they called the names, they told us, whoever we were voting for go to separate sides of the rooms. Then we had to stick around through the process of this formula to determine delegates. This is when I finally left and it was 10:30 pm, and they still were not completely done. This was a horrible experience, that I and others should report. If these processes in different precincts were so unorganized, who's to say that some people's votes were unfairly not counted.
They were not expecting us to come out a vote in record numbers like that.
SO FOR ALL THOSE SAYING THAT TEXAS DIDN'T STAND UP, NEED TO SIT THE HELL DOWN. CAUSE BLACK PEOPLE CAME OUT LAST NIGHT IN MASSES TO SUPPORT OBAMA. THE WHOLE TEXAS TWO-STEP PROCESS WAS CONFUSING AND IT CHAOS IN A LOT OF PRECINCTS.

People, people, people, what the hell happened last night? I am simply disgusted this morning by the election results. As I am certain are the Texans, Ohioans and Rhode Islanders who went out in full support of the, Candidate for the People. Last night I watched Barack Obama’s lead in Texas go from a Hey to a Hell Naw!
In one aspect I can't believe it, but in others I can. As a child, my brother, my sister and I were taught to look beyond the surface, that there is always more to the story than what they (media and the "Powers That Be") project. So in my opinion, last nights results can mean one of two things.
1) I think early on, some thought if Barack Obama won the nomination, John McCain would be a shoe-in. There is no way the American people will elect an African American candidate for President. Wrong! The motivation Barack delivers in his speeches has reached the hearts and souls of millions and caused the, "Powers That Be," to rethink that strategy. Americans are inspired to vote just by the sound of Barack’s voice, his message of hope, his ability to be the Boss without being a Bastard, his dignified way of being the bigger candidate and his representation of what this country needs to lead us into a brighter future, Change. His 11 state victories posed a serious threat to not only the Clintons, but the Republicans reclaiming the White House and that had to cease. Why would "They "allow him to compete against John McCain? Especially now that they see the respect Americans have for the man and his movement.
Hillary Clinton and the Clintons period are not very well liked in the political arenas and many have said, if she wins the nomination, they will either vote for McCain or not vote at all. That attitude would lead to an automatic Republican victory and many more years of hell on earth, but that's exactly the Republican Plan.
If you had to choose between a President you can relate to, that truly has your best interest at heart versus a President who will continue to put the lives of our Fathers, Sons, Brothers, Uncles, Nephews and the women with the, "Anything a man can do, I can do," attitude lives in danger for another 100 years, who would you choose, honestly? When you really think about it, that makes the process a little more Democratic and anyone with a real heart that is truly in tune with themselves, would clearly choose the person most like themselves, Obama.
Am I saying those who choose McCain or Clinton are heartless? In a way, yes. I mean, do you think Hillary would have supported the war if Chelsea had to fight? Probably not! Do you think if there was nothing in this for McCain he would consider fighting for another 100 years, probably not! Do you think he wanted to stay in Vietnam any longer than he had to, no! My father fought in Vietnam and he said soldiers were purposely wounding themselves so they could get the hell out! I mean seriously.
Aside from the war, Barack's stance on Healthcare, Ethics, Veterans, NAFTA, Taxes, Seniors, etc. truly does reflects his human side, his compassion for the long-awaited fairness Americans deserve. Hillary just wants to win at all cost and that ladies and gentlemen, isn't a President for the people, that's just plain ole selfish.
And
2) There are a lot of people capitalizing off of the Democratic Campaign. The longer this drags out, the more money each campaign spends, thus making advertisers and sponsors and a host of others a little richer. So why not prolong the process? It's the most watched race towards the Presidency ever. People are revved up and "Ret to Go" and some are more privy to take advantage of that. It’s like the TV stations during sweeps week, every viewer counts.
I am a “Barack ‘em, Sock ‘em Robot,” for more reasons than one. She may have won Texas and Ohio and even Rhode Island, but she has not won the hearts of the people. A Princess Diana she is not and that’s obvious. Her re-emergence is always due to sympathy. “Oh they always ask me questions first, oh the media favors Barack, oh I am outraged cause he put my business in the streets,” oh my ass! We should be sick and tired of the whining and complaining and get down to the seriousness of the matter. We have already been, “Hood winked, bamboozled, led astray and run amuck,” haven’t we had enough? I have!
At any rate, Alphonso Ribero and P-Diddy said it best, “Ain’t nothing gonna break my stride, Ain’t nothing gonna hold me down, oh no, I got to keep on movin’!” I am certain that is Barack’s position and we must continue to support him. We can’t give up, we can’t be discouraged, our vote really does count and we can make a difference!

I see Texas and Ohio as wins for the Obama camp. They picked up so much lost ground. Obama was down by as many as 20 pts in Ohio and Texas. Fear of the Hispanic vote didnt come around. Many Hispanics were voting for Obama after the firing of Hillary's campaign manager, who happened to be Hispanic. The current manager is black.
Eventhough many of the Unions endorsed Obama... Remember that Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania are big Union states... Also, big racists states as well! It was ridiculous in TX last night. Very unorganized at the polls and as constiuents we must volunteer more. How could the excuse be that they didn't know how big the turnout would be. How could they possibly send 1 12pk pkg of sign-in sheets for thousands of people. Just ridiculous watching them run back and forth to Kinko's instead of having cases of forms in the presiding judges trunk. ugh! Please be mindful that the Mexicans have had access crossing the border thruout all of those towns thruout the past presidencies, so why would they want change when they are having it their way. Obama is killing Hillary in the delegates department and mathematically impossible to pass him and only won by 20-30k popular vote in those states.. I will continue to have faith in Obama and I support his stand in reference to stop the seniors from paying income taxes. Most of our lower income people stick with the same customer service jobs and based on Obama's ceiling of $50k or less is very important for the economy and extra important for our stuggling senior citizens. Don't even get me started on his other issues or with Hillary's drama. Obama has handled her and McCain very well. Be wary of the media--they're crazy and perpetuates evil. hehehe I laugh and joke but it wasn't funny listening to Wold Blitz yell "All White Men-Vote for Hillary! You can break Obama's momentum! The jobs she promised--nonexistent. The healthcare plan she touted during her campaign--nonexistent. Everything she promised in her run for the Senate was contigent upon her being president (her words in the last debate). I bet she didn't share that with the voters in New York.
She has played dirty. She darkened Barack's picture in her ads to make him appear menacing to White voters. Her campaign circulated a pic of Obama in Muslim garb to play into the fear that was used so effectively by Bush in his run. She is STILL circulating an email claiming Obama is a Muslim, but denies knowing anything about where it is coming from.

Hilary's campaign is now realizing that the gloves must come off!! However, with any luck it will be too little too late for her. I am so sick of the media saying comeback this comeback that. Hilary was understood to have these states a long time ago. Her lead was much larger than what she won by and something has to be said for Barack cutting down that lead. If someone were to say these words to you, you would be very offended. People think it is somehow cute or educated to come on here and speak the "truth" but no matter how many "educated and truthful" items you post, you will be viewed the same way you view others on this site. As far as the state of MY people, I live it everyday and I am not sure what else to expect when parents don't care and all our children know how to do is fight for everything they have on a daily basis. My students have 15 year old textbooks, parents who drop them off at my building and then walk across to the high school and go to class themselves but you wanna talk about ignorance. Keep in mind that he is winning the areas that matter and that is the major cities in each state with large black populations. He won in Dallas, Houston, Austin, which makes up nearly 2/3 of the Texas population and thats where the most delegates come from.

* According to our best information, 40 government officials were indicted or convicted in the wake of Watergate. A reader computes that there was a total of 31 Reagan era convictions, including 14 because of Iran-Contra and 16 in the Department of Housing & Urban Development scandal. 47 individuals and businesses associated with the Clinton machine were convicted of or pleaded guilty to crimes with 33 of these occurring during the Clinton administration itself. There were in addition 61 indictments or misdemeanor charges. 14 persons were imprisoned. A key difference between the Clinton story and earlier ones was the number of criminals with whom he was associated before entering the White House.
Using a far looser standard that included resignations, David R. Simon and D. Stanley Eitzen in Elite Deviance, say that 138 appointees of the Reagan administration either resigned under an ethical cloud or were criminally indicted. Curiously Haynes Johnson uses the same figure but with a different standard in "Sleep-Walking Through History: America in the Reagan Years: "By the end of his term, 138 administration officials had been convicted, had been indicted, or had been the subject of official investigations for official misconduct and/or criminal violations. In terms of number of officials involved, the record of his administration was the worst ever."

It is important in considering these fatal incidents to bear in mind the following:
The fact that anomalies need to be investigated further carries no presumption of how a death actually occurred, only that there remain serious questions that require answers.
The possibility of foul play must be taken seriously in a major criminal conspiracy in which over two score individuals and firms have been convicted and over 100 witnesses have pled the Fifth Amendment or fled the country.
If foul play did occur in any of these cases, that fact by itself does not carry the presumption that the the Clinton machine was involved. Given the footprints of organized crime, drug trade, foreign espionage, and intelligence agencies on the trail of the Clinton story, such a assumption would not be warranted. It is also well to keep in mind the classic prohibition era movie in which the corrupt poitician's job was not to engage in illegal acts but to avoid noticing them. ARKANSAS MONEY MANAGEMENT

THE HIDDEN ELECTION
USA Today calls it "the hidden election," in which nearly 7,000 state legislative seats are decided with only minimal media and public attention. But there was an important national story here: evidence of the disaster that Bill Clinton was for the Democratic Party. According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, Democrats held a 1,542 seat lead in the state bodies in 1990. As of 1998 that lead had shrunk to 288. That's a loss of over 1,200 state legislative seats, nearly all of them under Clinton. Across the US, the Democrats controled only 65 more state senate seats than the Republicans.
Further, in 1992, the Democrats controlled 17 more state legislatures than the Republicans. After 1998, the Republicans controlled one more than the Democrats. Not only was this a loss of 9 legislatures under Clinton, but it was the first time since 1954 that the GOP had controlled more state legislatures than the Democrats (they tied in 1968).
Here's what happened to the Democrats under Clinton, based on our latest figures:

THE CLINTON LEGACY: LONELY VOICES
Here are some of the all too rare public officials, reporters, and others who spoke truth to the dismally corrupt power of Bill and Hill Clinton's political machine -- some at risk to their careers, others at risk to their lives. A few points to note:
- Those corporatist media reporters who attempted to report the story often found themselves muzzled; some even lost their jobs. The only major dailies that consistently handled the story well were the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Times.
- Nobody on this list has gotten rich and many you may not have even heard of. Taking on the Clintons typically has not been a happy or rewarding experience. At least ten reporters were fired, transferred off their beats, resigned, or otherwise got into trouble because of their work on the scandals.
- Contrary to the popular impression, the politics of those listed ranges from the left to the right, and from the ideological to the independent.
PUBLIC OFFICIALS
MIGUEL RODRIGUEZ was a prosecutor on the staff of Kenneth Starr. His attempts to uncover the truth in the Vincent Foster death case were repeatedly foiled and he was the subject of planted stories undermining his credibility and implying that he was unstable. Rodriguez eventually resigned.
JEAN DUFFEY: Head of a joint federal-county drug task force in Arkansas. Her first instructions from her boss: "Jean, you are not to use the drug task force to investigate any public official." Duffey's work, however, led deep into the heart of the Dixie Mafia, including members of the Clinton machine and the investigation of the so-called "train deaths." Ambrose Evans-Pritchard reports that when she produced a star witness who could testify to Clinton's involvement with cocaine, the local prosecuting attorney, Dan Harmon issued a subpoena for all the task force records, including "the incriminating files on his own activities. If Duffey had complied it would have exposed 30 witnesses and her confidential informants to violent retributions. She refused." Harmon issued a warrant for her arrest and friendly cops told her that there was a $50,000 price on her head. She eventually fled to Texas. The once-untouchable Harmon was later convicted of racketeering, extortion and drug dealing.
BILL DUNCAN: An IRS investigator in Arkansas who drafted some 30 federal indictments of Arkansas figures on money laundering and other charges. Clinton biographer Roger Morris quotes a source who reviewed the evidence: "Those indictments were a real slam dunk if there ever was one." The cases were suppressed, many in the name of "national security." Duncan was never called to testify. Other IRS agents and state police disavowed Duncan and turned on him. Said one source, "Somebody outside ordered it shut down and the walls went up."
RUSSELL WELCH: An Arkansas state police detective working with Duncan. Welch developed a 35-volume, 3,000 page archive on drug and money laundering operations at Mena. His investigation was so compromised that a high state police official even let one of the targets of the probe look through the file. At one point, Welch was sprayed in the face with poison, later identified by the Center for Disease Control as anthrax. He would write in his diary, "I feel like I live in Russia, waiting for the secret police to pounce down. A government has gotten out of control. Men find themselves in positions of power and suddenly crimes become legal." Welch is no longer with the state police.
DAN SMALTZ: Smaltz did an outstanding job investigating and prosecuting charges involving illegal payoffs to Agriculture Secretary Mike Espy, yet was treated with disparaging and highly inaccurate reporting by the likes of the David Broder and the NY Times. Espy was acquitted under a law that made it necessary to not only prove that he accepted gratuities but that he did something specific in return. On the other hand, Tyson Foods copped a plea in the same case, paying $6 million in fines and serving four years' probation. The charge: that Tyson had illegally offered Espy $12,000 in airplane rides, football tickets and other payoffs. In the Espy investigation, Smaltz obtained 15 convictions and collected over $11 million in fines and civil penalties. Offenses for which convictions were obtained included false statements, concealing money from prohibited sources, illegal gratuities, illegal contributions, falsifying records, interstate transportation of stolen property, money laundering, and illegal receipt of USDA subsidies. In addition, Janet Reno blocked Smaltz from pursuing leads aimed at allegations of major drug trafficking in Arkansas and payoffs to the then governor of the state, WJ Clinton. Espy had become Ag secretary only after being flown to Arkansas to get the approval of chicken king Don Tyson.
DAVID SCHIPPERS was House impeachment counsel and a Chicago Democrat. He did a highly creditable job but since he didn't fit the right-wing conspiracy theory, the Clintonista media downplayed his work. Thus most Americans don't know that he told Newsmax, "Let me tell you, if we had a chance to put on a case, I would have put live witnesses before the committee. But the House leadership, and I'm not talking about Henry Hyde, they just killed us as far as time was concerned. I begged them to let me take it into this year. Then I screamed for witnesses before the Senate. But there was nothing anybody could do to get those Senators to show any courage. They told us essentially, you're not going to get 67 votes so why are you wasting our time." Schippers also said that while a number of representatives had looked at additional evidence kept under seal in a nearby House building, not a single senator did.
JOHN CLARKE: When Patrick Knowlton stopped to relieve himself in Ft. Marcy Park 70 minutes before the discovery of Vince Foster's body, he saw things that got him into deep trouble. His interview statements were falsified and prior to testifying he claims he was overtly harassed by more than a score of men in a classic witness intimidation technique. In some cases there were witnesses. John Clarke was his dogged lawyer in the witness intimidation case that was largely ignored by the media, even when the three-judge panel overseeing the Starr investigation permitted Knowlton to append a 20 page addendum to the Starr Report.
OTHER
THE ARKANSAS COMMITTEE: What would later be known as the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy actually began on the left - as a group of progressive students at the University of Arkansas had formed the Arkansas Committee to look into Mena, drugs, money laundering, and Arkansas politics. This committee was the source of some of the important early Clinton stories including those published in the Progressive Review.
CLINTON ADMINISTRATION SCANDALS E-LIST: Moderated by Ray Heizer, this list was subject to all the idiosyncrasies of Internet bulletin boards, but nonetheless proved invaluable to researchers and journalists.
JOURNALISTS
JERRY SEPER of the Washington Times was far and away the best beat reporter of the story, handling it week after week in the best tradition of investigative journalism. If other reporters had followed Seper's lead, the history of the Clintons' machine might have been quite different.
AMBROSE EVANS-PRITCHARD of the London Telegraph did a remarkable job of digging into some of the seamiest tales from Arkansas and the Clinton past. Other early arrivals on the scene were Alexander Cockburn and Jeff Gerth.
CHRISTOPHER RUDDY, among other fine reports on the Clinton scandals, did the best job laying out the facts in the Vince Foster death case.
