For the record, I am a black man who was born in America. For the past 10 years, I have heard other black people degrade the Williams sisters. High points: ugly; bad hair/braids; no style; bad make-up. Do the Williams sisters have "bad days" concerning make-up, hair style and clothing? Of course, what woman (regardless of race) doesn't. But UGLY, to say that the Williams sisters are ugly is ridiculous and a false statement. On a scale of 1-10, granted, some men may not give them an 8 or 9, but to say that they are ugly, means that they will not even register on the scale. Again, ridiculous.
The Williams sisters look good. Are they on the level of Whitney Houston back in the '80's, of course not. But few women are. Not only do the Williams sisters look good, but they also have intelligence. They both speak well and have excellent business sense. My projection: the Williams sisters will rival John MacInroe in promotion earnings.
Bottom line, the Williams sisters are NOT ugly. They both look very good. Also, they both have many successful, profitable years ahead. Because black people are still under the influence (light skin women with long hair) the Williams sisters are labled as "ugly".

Bless their hearts. They are trying their best. If Serena would stop wearing that part with her weave set so far back into her hairline, she would look so much better. They cannot help their bodies. For both of them to have clothing lines, I was hoping that they would pull themselves together at one point. They are too wealthy and have achieved too much to be looking the way that they look most of the time. Nevertheless, this is the best that I have seen them recently, if not ever.
I am scanning the pictures reading the comments and looking at the faces and features that some of the condescending remarks are coming from. Women who look like they could be relatives of Serena and Venus Williams thats even funnier. Some of the women are in the same catergory looks wise as Serena and Venus but are being mean and trying to talk down about them. They just get crazy with the bad hair extensions and colors but as long as they take easy and keep it natural they look Alright.
Like the majority of women most women are average looking not sex symbols or super sexy just regular. Some women think that adding hair makes them look even better but most of the time I see more people of all races looking a hot mess when they start doing too much. Few pull colors and extensions off well. I know a lot of woman think that adding hair makes them look better but all it does is change your look but for most women its not for the better.

Most of the sistahs I know who do sport weaves is because there hair is extremely thin or damaged and just simply don't have the patience to let it grow even though it won't grow very long. Some get them because it makes them feel simply "pretty". Hell I ain't gonna lie, I've worn them and loved it. Anyway venus and Serena are tall, and plus they have a muscular frame. If you all didn't know African American men/women tend to have a more defined muscular build when we're in shape, unfortunately it's a plus for the brothas but a minus for us sistas.
Anywho I always though Serena and Venus were attractive women. Anything can be found unattractive about black women especially when they're of a darker complexion, it's unfortunate it's this way. But I guess I'm in the minority because I don't think these two deserve the bashing of the way they look physically, when they've accomplished so much, and display so much positive for our comminity and black women.
