No MMA fighter can beat a wordlclass boxer in a boxing match and any boxer wouldn't have a chance against MMA fighter in the Octagon under MMA rules. The only reason Silva wants to fight Roy in a boxing match is because of the money. silva would most likely make at least a couple of millions. Silva has never seen that type of money before. Sure he'll get KO'd but he still makes more money in that fight than he'll ever make in MMA.

Silva is trained in Mauy Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, AND he also used to box(look it up if u dont belive) He only fought twice and was knocked out in his first match, he won the second against Julio Cesar De Jesus whom he knocked out!!!!!

Ok so Silva had SOME experience as a boxer. Put that against a lifetime of training and learning the craft of boxing and Silva is out of his leauge. I like MMA when it's some truly skilled opponents fighting each other but as far as the hand skills it's a bar brawl with sloppy wide arm punches. MMA is nothing without kicks or holds or elbows it's the core of the sport.

It is obvious people don't read. The proposed fight is a BOXING match, so MMA experience is moot, if not a liability.

A Black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, and a gold medal in wrestling wouldn't help Silva.

To date, Anderson Silva has only fought in 2 boxing matches. On 5-22-98, Silva was knocked out in the 2nd round by Osmar Teixeira in Uniao da Vitoria, Brazil. Then on 08-06-2005, he knocked out Julio Cesar De Jesus in Ginasio Antonio Balbino, Brazil. Ailva is 6'2" and weighs 182 lb. but Jones is 5'11" and weighed in at 169.5 lbs in his last fight against Trinidad. Are Silva's 2 boxing matches along with his MMA experience going to be enough to hold his own or win against Jones in the ring? Does younger necessarily mean better? Will Jones show that he he still has what it takes? This will be 1 BOXING MATCH I don't want to miss.
