PPl... Its not about me or my hatred towards gays... it's about nurturing these kids and the single women raising them. We need more of a sense of community so that this stuff dosent happen. Big Brother mentoring and volunteer work at the Boys and Girls club is a great start. The Boys and Girls Club was sooo important, yet we rarely hear about it anymore. United Way needs more involvement in our neighborhoods... also a task force of men that teach our young boys how to tie their ties properly and the importance of good hygiene and wearing proper fitting pants. Also real issues like who they can call if another grownup touches them. and for the teens maybe some safe sex workshops and the importance of abstinence. A supervised neighborhood "club" where kids can get together and hang out. Have fun. and some events like a black teen dancing with th stars. Something to promote social interactivity between genders... We have ideas.. we just need to implement them where these (B.Scott)things don't happen. A male mentored Boys & Girls club would help out our single mothers so much. they are doing the bect they can. but without a man in the picture the kids are left with very few options and male role models. A firefighter, barber, deacon, artist, football player (or coach), policeman, lawyer, teacher, entrepreneur, ect. that volunteer their afternoon time would help these kids out sooooo much! |
