: MediTakeOut.com got its hands on some footage of Kobe Brtyant supposedly jumping over a moving Aston Martin automobile. We know that this dude is reckless (i.e. - going raw dog on some crazy Colorado chick), but he couldn't really be this reckless...

Kobe is MAD skill there's no doubt about that. I wouldn't be surprised if Kobe could in fact jump over a speeding Aston Martin but let's face it IT'S NOT REAL. No way a pro athlete is going to risk his career for a commercial. If that car hit's his legs his career is over PERIOD. He will not be able to play basketball again. He could even die.
It's a really cool commercial though produced by Nike but it's not real.

I doubt it is real. NBA players have reckless behavior rules. When they don't follow it, they end up like Chicago's Jay Williams.
The standard NBA contract says, "The player agrees he will not, without the written consent of the team, engage in sports endangering his safety (including professional boxing or wrestling, motorcycling, auto racing, sky-diving, and hang gliding), or any game of basketball, football, baseball, hockey, lacrosse or other athletic sport." It's specifically okay to engage in "golf, tennis, handball, swimming, hiking, softball, or volleyball." Baseball's standard contract actually excludes swimming and hiking, too.

THERE WAS ONE PERSON IN THE CAR WHEN IT DROVE IN THE BEGINNING.
AND (DUH), THERE WHERE TWO PEOPLE (ONE WITH A BRIGHT AZZ RED SHIRT ON--DEAD GIVEAWAY!) AT THE END OF THE COMMERCIAL----------THAT IDEA WASN'T SMART.
BUT WHEN YOU FIRST WATCH IT (AND DON'T REALLY) PAY ATTENTION IT DOES LOOK COOL! :)
It is real. You can see someone in the red when he jumped over it. Of course not the brightest thing in the world to do, but it is possible.
If you have seen an Aston Martin in real life, they sit real low to the ground. If he did that shyt with Hummer I'd be impressed.
If you watch the Science of Sports on Fox, they actually had a episode on dunking and showed a guy jump over a car and dunk.
Watch the video Again people. All Kobe did was JUMP UP (as though he was on the court). Because the car was traveling at a certain speed, he was simply able to jump up and land without hitting the car. It was more eye/mind illusion than anything else. In other words the driver of that car made sure he didn't buss his A$$.
