A source close to Nick Cannon has confirmed exclusively to Latina.com that Cannon and Mariah Carey are married! The couple wed yesterday in a small ceremony on an island and it was "very implusive," according to our source. The wedding was attended by a few close friends of the couple, including Da Brat.Hope Mimi was smart enough to get an impulsive pre-nup...Details forthcoming, but we'd like to be the first to say congrats to the happy couple!

"Everyone is happy to see her happy," Carey's friend told The Post. "And it could work out -" some people know each other for five years and get divorced, maybe this is true instant love."Not everyone is so over-the-moon.
"There was no pre-nup - there wasn't time," said another worried source.
Guests at the wedding included Carey's longtime pal, rapper Da Brat.
Calls to Carey's rep weren't returned.

Hmm, there could be some merit to the Brat, Mariah rumors so I’m going with the “cover-up” conspiracy camp. This is like some cute little unconventional love story, where the couple pulls out all the stops to stay together and protect one another….even fake a marriage to take the focus off of them. As for Nick….he must be a pretty good friend to go along with an “Eddie Murphy” like skit…then again it does get his name in the press. Whatever the case….um, good luck?

If this is true congrats. They seem like they would get along just fine. I really can't picture them as a couple but if they are happy then I am happy. Is this the year to get married? I mean really enough with everyone getting married or divorced this year. I'm all married and divorced out with these celebrities and it's only May. By the time we get to December, the whole industry will be married or divorced at least once. These people need to find a hobby and quick. There are far more things they can be doing than each other.
