Barbara was very attractive in her day and she still looks great for a woman in her 70s. She wrote a memoir people, so lots of intimate details are included in that. When she said she dated a black man, I almost fell off of my couch. I didn't know Barbara had it in her :-)
I was mad at her for a minute over how she handled that Star Jones firing but Babs has redeemed herself. She was protecting Star's image by saying their parting was amicable. Had Star remained mum about that no one would've ever known ABC got rid of her. After all was said and done, it seems Barbara was the only one not out to humiliate Star and Star didn't even realize it. Since then Payless and everybody else has taken stabs at Star's behind the scenes abrasive personality.

She wrote a book about her life. It was something that happened that had an effect on her. Why get mad at her. He's the one who cheated and committed adultery. No she's not innocent. But who did she drag down? He did it to himself. I'm not a fan of hers personally. But if you do some research. She did break barriers for women in the field of Journalism and she has interviewed some of the most prestigious people in this country.
At least show the woman some respect even if you don't like her. And MTO- You put a picture up with a lame caption and call it a story? You guys will never be regard as actual Journalists.
Barbara has endured a lot as a female in a male news world. She broke down a lot of doors. She was talking about what she couldn't do on TV in the early days. I've enjoyed her interviews with some high profile people over the years, especially Fidel Castro.
I watched Barbara for years on 20/20 with Hugh Downs. They were quite a team.
Years ago a black professional baseball player came out saying he had an affair with Doris Day. She denied it tooth and nail.

Barbara Walters would have been the last White woman that I would think would have some jungle fever. But the reality is many of them do and that's why they make the journey to the Carribean every year to get their black man fix and why the White man feels threatened and hates us the way that he does. More brothers need to understand that you are wanted by more than just the police. Barbara got caught up with a black man and loved it, go figure!!!!!!
It's not even normal that we have to announce this like this is a sin. If I was white man and I was that hurt that she slept with a black man, I just couldn't show the world that it's one of my pet peeves.
That's like showing the world that I'm don't care to see a black women sleep with any other race, but not a white man, and threaten them not to sleep with them by disowning them from my family. To me that's showing the world I'm deathly afraid of white men, knowing that I don't have any control over what other adults do with their own time, and their life!
It just makes them look weak, with them supposedly being the most powerful, and most "desired" man in the world and all!

People who read autobiographies and see how two careers could've been ruined because of race, are who care. Senator Brooke was still married but had been separated for years from his first wife. He didn't file for divorce until Barbara was going to end the relationship after pressure from her friends. I think she was in love with him and as many times as Barbara has been divorced, he may have been her "true" love that lasted. Former Senator Brooke is now 88 and Barbara is 78 so that's when memoirs should be written, when people get old.
Some celebs have so much to tell that they won't allow their memoirs to be released until 50 years after their death; that way everybody they talk about will be dead.
Unless one has lived 80 years in such a short time like Bobby Brown, who's memoir is about to come out. What could he possibly have done and accomplished in his young life to write a book about? Having been married to Whitney is just a normal part of his young life thus far.
Walters need to shut up cuz she just want to sell that book. One favor she can do for me is fire Elizabeth Brokedownback. I'm so tired of her want to be perfect self. That daughter of hers is going to give her hell. She really thinks that America is as its best. Doesn't see any wrong with that dumbo thing of a president. God she makes me sick. I'm so sick I can throw up on her little perfect face.

why does it always have to be about her wanting some chocolate...why can't it be just one person attracted to the other...regardless of their color. the only thing I hope for, is that she had enough respect to get permission from him to discuss this with the public...(she seems to be a very smart woman..) and not through him under the bus, especially if this man has a family..
