I stil don't think she's ugly she just has not found herself yet she has not found a style that compliments her features so sometimes she makes poor clothing/hair choices. Tasia has made bad hair choices-no doubt-but she is not alone--just look up the thread-the only difference is that Tasia is on national tv some of you all are just walking around your neigborhood looking a fool. Red hair is not for everybody-and I'm dark skinned so I know it's definitely not for me and people like me--but to add to that I have barely seen many light skinned people that can pull it off either-it really doesn't look too good on anyone.
Tasia can sing her a/s/s off-she gets emotional and full on into her performance-including making ugly faces. If it were up to Simon no she wouldn't be the American Idol-but who cares-as long as she's making music I'm buying and I wish she would do more. i agree with the comment spraggaswifey made. Our society is always giving the impression that dark or brown aint beautiful. ill admit that fantasia's look is alittle outragious, but to all of the color struck folks, there are alot of dark and brown sistas out there like myself who are beautiful and know how to pick the hair colors to bring out the best in their beautiful brown or dark skin tone..
@Dallas_Chick..I saw The Color Purple back in 2007 before Fantasia came on board and I am so glad I did..the actress who played Celie was AMAZING! she had a true voice and stage presence for Broadway..they only chose Fantasia to do the show because ticket sales were sagging and they needed a famous name to boost sales..her stint on Broadway didnt last long because she was missing performances, people were complaining, wanting their money back because she would cancel last minute and they paid to see her perform..she missed more than half of her performances so the didnt renew her contract..the girl done lost her senses..it has nothing to do with looks..I love her voice, shes talented as hell..she has raw, natural talent which is hard to find..at the same time, she needs to rehearse and practice her craft like everyone else..and she obviously did not rehearse that American Idol performance..it was terrible..she was screaming, she was off key, she was just basically winging it..just running and jumping around like she was at a gospel performance..she was acting crazy and she wasnt prepared..I dont even think she remembered the lyrics..we're not talking about dark skin or red hair, we're talking about her throwing her career away..she needs to get on the ball again
Fantasia is a very intense performer, but she commands the stage and is very captivating when she performs. I love Fantasia! She dares to be her and doesn't care what anyone says. I can respect that. The red may not suit her, but she did say something to the effect of, "I just tried it." LOL Simon's expression was classic, though.

Believe me, I tried very, very, very hard to like Fantasia but I just can't do it. She is beyond going to a club, getting drunk, and ***'*** the first thing that walks out at 3am. Okay...Being flamboyant like that (with the hair color) is often times associated with the drag queens...however the color was a little off--they should have curl/spiked it instead of that style she has now...it would've looked better. I like Tasia...I voted for her several times when she was on Idol. I think she looks better with her hair black, and she needs to make *** hair her trademark...it's so refreshing as opposed to seeing all the celebs with weaves.

I like Fantasia. I think she looks fly as always. That hair color is out there, but she's a pop star. She's supposed to look flashy.
