how can people make such general assumptions that mixed race children don't often look like either parent? in my fam, most of my cousins that are directly mixed with (all of these--boricua, dominican, panamanian, irish and german) we joke that they come out absolutely clear, but ALL of them look like one or the other parent. Broad generalizations are not the way to go if one is trying to prove a point unless you have come into contact with at least 51% of all mixed race people.
Also, many children period often come out not looking like either of their parents. It's plausible.
And finally to address 2 other things that were said in here:

Every time we get on here and dog Fantasia for being "so ugly" and "ghetto" or say something like so-and-so looks like like a monkey or whatever, everytime we publicize our own self-hate, it only gives them reason and adds to their negative depiction of us, because they figure if we think our features are so ugly to us then why should they think we're beautiful when they're already looking for a reason to hate on us?
