Entertainment wise, I miss Erykah, she has her own unique style and we don't see too much of that these days; everyone's a duplicate of someone else. Congrat's to Erykah! I'm sure that her children are loved by their father's and their extended families. Sometimes the personal relationships don't work out, but the children are still a blessing. She is definitely on a mission of self-fulfillment and she must be proud of her accomplishments outside of her music--i.e., philanthropy/humanitarianism efforts in Dallas--big time. People definitely can't say that she doesn't give back to the community, purchasing buildings snatched by the city via eminent domain, so she appears to be about progress. Much love and respect to Sister Badu.

This one is tough for me....
As an artist she is one of my absolute favorites...I just saw her perform in concert recently and it was one of the best shows i've seen in ages...She is so talented, and her songs truly have meaning....In this "Lollipop/Lip Gloss Poppin'" culture we have now her music is truly slept on and unappreciated...She does what great artists do, entertain you and make you think...
However, what she is doing is beyond eccentric...its not cool for men to go out and make babies with different women...And its not cool for a woman to do it either, no matter how much she masks it under the guise of "free spirit". Its just unfortunate...I take things as they are, but cats like her and Mos are disappointing because, given what they express in their art, they should be better than that.

Erykah is dealing with her personal demons; that is part of being spiritual. A major factor in her past, which is the result of what you see in here present situation, is the fact that her father was never there!!! So she produces children with men who can not help her form a union (fatherless children). Erykah is only spiritual externally, not internally, her cheap comments on OkayPlayer shows this. She's not seeking men who are spiritual, but tall and "rapper type". All the ankh wearing is to cover her lack of real spirituality. Neverthless she is a sista who is finding herself once again. Many of her fans may see her as a fake artist. I am one of them. She made two mistakes: cut her hair after baduism and had a child before marrying Jay Electrical. Love you always, Sista Queen.
