My issue is I've heard this dude portray himself as a literal kingpin, before he released his album. He keeps alluding to the fact, that he was a millionaire before the rap thing jumped off. Dude talking about having a mansion and Rolls-Royce Phantom, before he got a record deal. Now we find out he's making like $12 an hour, as a C.O.
If dude had a regular job to pay his bills until the rap shyt took off, more power to him. I'm actually glad, because it shows you can take the straight route to finance your rap career. But he's fabricated this Nino Brown image and now has to lie to cover his tracks. This is MY issue with guys like Rick Ross. He's lying to cover other lies, to validate some bogus druglord fantasy he's concocted. Just because he knows former drug kingpin Kenneth "Boobie" Williams, doesn't mean he was a baller too. I know plenty of cats who work 9-5's, when their brother, cousin or friend is knee deep in the drug game.
