There are different rules for Blacks in power. A majority of politicians (white) do what he is doing/has done and it's ignored or they get a slap on the wrist. I've lived in Detroit all my life and I have no complaints. Yes, we have our problems, but from what I see on the news, other cities are having problems, too. KWAME F*CKED UP! Not me or anybody else. He just so happens to be mayor of Detroit, a city that the rest of world loves to hate on. MOST POLITICIANS A CROOKED! It's sad but true. I totally agree with SweetestSin33 and PlayaRushous. I had faith in Kwame and still feel he made some good improvements to the city, but he had made some horrible personal choices. He deserves what he gets because he was wrong and thought he could get away with it. He's not the first mayor to mess up and he won't be the last. So people don't come on here doggin' Detroit. The mayor of your city is probably up to no good, too. We just don't know about it....yet! |

As much as I'm for blacks in power, especially young leaders with new ideas, I saw Kwame as suspect a longtime ago. What mayor wears Air Force 1's, a diamond stud earring and drives in a tricked out SUV. This is what Wendy Williams describes as Negrodian behavior. I hope he wasn't pulling that shyt, before the blacks in Detroit voted for him. Corey Booker is the proper example of a young black mayor. While I don't agree with all of his politics and he's having a problem curbing crime in Newark, which was his campaign theme, he's a class act. I heard Kwame used to be in the hot Detroit night spots, after he got elected. Who wants to see the damn mayor in the club, getting crunk to Lil Jon. He reminds me of those young mothers who want to go to the club with their daughters. Some people just don't know when enough is enough.
@icu_lQQkin, I agree. While Kwame Kilpatrick deserves to be punished, so does George Bush. What about former New York governor Eliot Spitzer. Dude was caught on wiretap soliciting sex with a prostitute several times. He had police illegally dig up dirt on a political adversary (N.Y State Senate majority leader Joe Bruno (GOP). I believe he also used state funds to pay for hotel rooms on certain occasions. Yet, the man is free as a bird. This was a man who went after escort agencies and even the Johns with a vengeance, when he was the Attorney General of N.Y State. Yet, no talk of even putting him in jail has surfaced. I remember an article in G.Q from the early 90's and it dealt with black politicians being targets of gov't agencies like the FBI. Even some inside FBI agents vouched, that way more focus and investigation was directed towards black politicians. Former FBI agent Tyrone Powers has talked about this issue in detail. Trust me, there are no shortage of white politicians as corrupt as Kwame. It like a white shoplifter vs a black shoplifter. Just based on stereotypes, the black shoplifter is going to be more scrutinzed by store security and therefore, caught at a higher rate than the white shoplifter, who's probably robbing the store blind. A white female shoplifter with skills, dressed in business attire can rob most stores blind with impunity. Yet, the black shoplifter has to be friggin David Blaine or Cris Angel to get out of the store with some expensive shyt. I'm not endorsing shoplifting, I was just using that analogy to demonstrate that selective investigation and prosecution, leads to black politicians in the crosshairs of the gov't way more than their white counterparts. John Edwards just got busted lying about having an extramarital affair and is suspected of paying this women hush money and making an acquittance pretend to be in a relationship with the women. |

I mean being black like Nas said whenever to speak on the injustice or lopsided decisions toward black vs. white they will call it reverse racism. Yes KK did wrong we all know that, but he's not the first. Like you said the NY guy got caught on wire tap and all he got was a hand shake and a good bye from office. He used the states money for trips, hotels, girls and also used state security to escort him to D.C. and stand out by Hotels. But see we hate ourselves so much that we allow self-hate overcome the unequal justice that we as blacks get every damn day. Just like when they put crack on the streets they made laws that if u caught with crack or selling as much as a rock u going to jail getting shiit like 10years and shiit but if you murder someone or hit and run and it kills them u can get like a year or so in jail. Face it certain laws was made up just for us. Like in the work place. So u can't yell racism about why they fired you they will take away a whole department or small area that u work in just to fire you in Corporate world. Same thing in the Law books. They will sacrifice throwing their own in jail just to get a bunch of us in there. We make up 13% of the population yet 40% of us black men are in jail. Some for voilent crimes and some just for having a small bag of weed in there pocket or fit the description and had a court appointed attorney. |
