: MediaTakeOut.com just caught wind of an interesting rumor. Word coming out of Tyra's camp is that the former supermodel is considering a change to next season of America's Next Top Model.
According to our insider, Tyra is considering having an 100% African American cast. The tipster explained MediaTakeOut.com, "Tyra mentioned the idea in earlier seasons and it didn't seem plausible. But after the success of the Vogue issue - it makes a lot more sense now."
But don't get too excitement. The insider told MediaTakeOut.com, "It's just an idea for now. No one has signed off on it."
Sounds like an interesting idea to us...
why doesn't tyra do an americas next top model all men, i think that would make for a good show. guys deserve a chance to, or make it half guys and half girls and maybe have two winners at the end of it. i think it would make for good shoots to have men and women pair up and with a different person each week...
I think she should do it. White ppl have tons of opportunity in this country and around the world their skin color opens doors for them all the time what's wrong with Tyra opening some doors for a few sista's? Why should we have to struggle if we don't have to anymore. If someone at the top can now open the door for us and is willing to do so then why shouldnt these black models walk thru that open door. When white ppl cry about reverse racisim I laugh internally because they need to take that feeling and multiply it by 100 then add 1,000 to that number and multiply that by 100 again and then they might get a glimpse into what it's like to have black skin in this country. I mean look at Obama and his wife the picture of an American family yet the receive death threats. DO THIS TYRA!!

Why not have the most photogenic women as models rather than SKINNY AZZ women (of any race) who don't even represent a majority of the women (of any race) in this country?
I see nothing wrong with having an all black America's Next Top Model IF that happens to be all that qualified to make it. Tyra better get prepared for the heat that will come along with this decision.
With all the racial hate that has been exposed through the Obama campaign - I doubt that will happen. Unfortunately, it seems like White America is not ready to share the pie yet. So if she does, I'm sure they'll be crying racial something and boycotting her show. Same response as Oprah supporting Obama - IF ALL the HYPE is true. I watched a show on the "Tyra Banks " show recently where she seemed to glorify black women skin types. She did so by making a comparison of the things we must do to become beautiful, versus the white women. What shocked me is she put all the black girls on one side , and the white girls on the other. I watched as the black girls cheered when it was said by and expert,that our skin elasticity is less likely to wrinkle in comparison to that of white skin! the whole show made me cringe. i thought she kinda tipped the iceberg a bit, but it was all in an effort to unlift black women so that we can feel good about ourselves. I guess it depends on what type of "spin" you put on it.
one more thing...@ Cuterthanu if it was whitey doing an "ALL WHITE" show, ya'll would be crying racism and calling Al Sharpton and Ole' Jesse Jackson on speed dial.Ya'll can be so full of $hit. ****** Newsflash. There were no regular black cast on popular sitcoms like "Friends"...or SeinField. THe former hit show "Cheers"....did not have blacks! Current shows like "Deperate Housewives" feature all whites.
