: Could Jennifer Hudson be getting ready to pull a Star Jones. MediaTakeOut.com is hearing whispers that American Idol winner Jennifer Hudson and her fiancé David "Punk" Otunga are looking to put together "sponsors" for their upcoming nuptials.
According to one industry insider, the couple is exploring having company's donate items or pay them cash to be a part of their wedding. The insider explained to MediaTakeOut.com, "It's not all that unusual for celebrities to have events sponsored - even weddings ... But usually the celebrities are of a little higher caliber than Jennifer and Punk."
Ouch ... Don't worry guys, we'd be happy to pay to be a part of the wedding. How much would it cost for Jennifer to wear orange and black wedding dress with the words MediaTakeOut.com across the front.....

First of all, the "insider" meant he isn't of the caliber to ask for sponsors... Despite what any of you may think, Jennifer IS IN FACT considered A-List and if you'd like evidence take a gander at mainstream sites/blogs...Her engagement is right up there beside Katie Holmes' broadway reviews... Of course I know she isn't a Katie Holmes in popularity but the fact that she's won the Oscar makes her A-List by default.
Everybody is trippin' on Jen and Punk but it really could be a smart move. She is going places. He wants to go places. She can make money. He can read contracts and help her get the best deals since he is a lawyer. Sheett, get a pre-nup, make a couple of babies, and stay paid and be happy. @Kimkelmor...He quit the firm he was working for to go on reality TV. He isn't a downgrade but it is a judgement call that I think everyone is worried about. I hope she is thinking about this. But - when someone wants a wedding, you can't tell her anything! I think he is gay, and she needs to have a pow-wow with Terry McMillan and Star Jones, especially Star because why in the holy H E L L would she think that getting sponsors is a wonderful thing to do? It won't stop him from being who he is, but perhaps if it turns out he IS gay, she will not have spent her own money.

If these companies have money to throw out to already privledged celebrities, they can afford to give back to the community. There are still starving families all over, people are still displaced from New Orleans, AIDS in Africa, and the rest of the non-million-dollar-a-movie popluation, as a whole, is going through economic hardships.
And you mean to tell me that we are sitting here thinking its ok for companies to sponsor a wedding for what will most likely be a 1 year marriage. I wanna know which companies are sponsoring big-time celeb weddings, cause those are the companies I'm going to stop supporting, as you should as well.
