:
WOW, ON SOME REAL SHYT! I THINK THIS LITTLE GIRL IS ADORABLE...AND I LOVE BRAD & ANGELINA & WHAT THEY TRYNING TO STAND 4 AND ALL THAT... BUT IMMA NEED THEM TO HIRE A BLACK WOMAN TO DO THAT CHILDS HAIR... THIS IS A MESS! WHITE PEOPLE U GIVE UR BLACK KIDS SELF-ESTEEM ISSUES WHEN U LET THEIR HAIR LOOK A MESS LIKE THIS, IT CLEARLY DRAWS ATTENTION TO THEIR DIFFERNECES & KIDS R BRUTAL... DO HER A FAVOR & COMB HER HAIR... PLEASEEE
It's not the kid they're talking about. It's the parents. She's glammed up with makeup and fresh tracks and they could comb that kid's hair. Some of you need to stop with the 'natural' talk. Her hair is in a natural state but there's nothing natural about a black girl with unkempt hair....ALL THE TIME.
look im about sick of how umkempt they keep that child's HAIR!! IM READY 2 do IT!!!
she has a soft texture and they need 2 moisturize regularly.. her hair will start locking if they dont do something fast!
nothing wrong with dreads but if they cant handle her head already GOD knows how it would start looking after it locked!!
MY BROTHER IS A LOCKTICIAN/WEAVEOLOGIST.. HELL im nice with hair TOO..
4 THE LOVE OF GOD!!!HOLLA @ US IN NYC BRAngelina!~! lol..
in tha first pics she looks like shes saying PLEASE SOMEBODY DO MY HAIR!!
((SMFH))
Dreds???... NO BUENO!!!!
They need to give they white a$$es a class on doing black hair cause they gonna have that pretty little girl looking like a H.A.M (Hot Ass Mess) as well as make her feel that she does not have beautiful hair.
Just another way that white ppl make black ppl feel less than thou & unpretty.
Zahara is one beautiful little girl and yes it's true, her hair is always undone but I'm assuming Angelina really doesn't have the know how to make it look neat,thought Zahara does have a decent grade of hair, if you will. I'm also guessing that when you are that big of a celebrity you really can't trust a stranger to put their hands in your childs hair for alot of reasons and one of them that comes to my mind is the fact that some people would probably keep bits of Zharas hair simply because of who she is.it's a weird thought but it is very possible in this crazy life. I say as long as she appears clean,well fed and happy thats really all that counts.
maybe the baby doesnt like things in her hair. ever thought of that? i bet not. cause u N's dont care how your kids feel... u still slap all kindsa crap in and on their hair. leave them ppl alone. and quit underestimating white ppl so much. ive seen angie rock a braid, so im sure shes aware what she COULD do. however, i like how they do what they want, like fck yall.
Anyway, aslong as her hair is healthy, then it doesn't matter what style it is. Combing ur hair doesn't make ur hair healthy. We comb our hair so it want tangled up after sleeping on it everyday. To me it doesn't look like her hair is tangled. It's kinky. And who care about some damn hair, the baby is being taken of!!!
Looks like neglect due to a lack of understanding ethnic hair. NEWSFLASH European Americans if you feel compelled to adopt a child of Negro decent at minimum you owe it to the child to understand (or respect) their hair care needs. Her hair should not be neglected just because they don't know what to do with it...
omg seriously, yall are being so n'iggerish today, more than usual. get over it. instead of sitting here biching over oh they need a black person blah blah... like yall do such a great job... why not try to figure out how to get the job? oh yeah, that'd interfere with your hater time. if ur working, how can u hate/comment on here all day? STFU
first of all BLACK ppl dont PLAY the MY KIDS HAIR IS A MESS GAME!!!
second as a mother of a black lil girl,im concerned bcs she will grow up around lil blue eyed shiloh with and lil maddox feeling a lil weird and thats not fair.. the child looks a lil 2 me.. idk
they need 2 get her hair maintainance 2 gther.. she dont need a relaxer/or perm.. just some TLC!
I DONT CARE IF WHITE PEOPLE KNOW HOW TO DO BLACK HAIR OR NOT, LOOK AT ANGELINA SH.IT ALL LAYERED AND NEAT! WHY? BECAUSE SHE TOOK HER EARTHY ASS TO THE HAIRDRESSER NOW SHE NEEDS TO BRING ZAHARA.
I'M ALL FOR THE NATURAL LOOK BUT ZAHARA'S HAIR JUST PLAIN OLD LOOKS NEGLECTED, EVEN THOUGH SHE ISN'T HER DAMN HAIR IS BEING NEGLECTED.
I do not see any cuteness....SORRY. You can put a nice conditioning hair pomade aka hair grease for those who may not know what pomade is. Put a little in her hair and at least comb or brush it. No one says you have to hot comb it or relax it. It can be all natural BUT IN PLACE instead of looking like she just came off a slave ship...DAMN she is the 2008 modern day BUCKWHEAT!!! YEAH I SAID IT. She doesn't ever look like a little girl just a tribesman. If only they'd put it in place. She may be spoiled and NOT like her hair combed BUT if she were mine I'd at least make it neat
DAMN THAT'S REALLY_FUCKED UP THAT THEY GOT THAT LITTLE GIRL LOOKING LIKE A LITTLE ASS BOY. SO SAD. I KNOW THEY SAVED HER FROM DYING AND SUCH BUT THEY ARE MILLIONAIRES. THEY CAN AFFORD TO GET HER EARS PIERCED AND HAVE HER HAIR COMBED NOT RELAXED BUT COMBED. IT'S A SO SAD TO SEE SUCH A PRETTY LITTLE GIRL LOOKING LIKE A LESBO AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE.
@DQC:
PREACH!!! READING THESE COMMENTS ARE [EXPLETIVE] ME THE F*CK OFF!!! YA'LL ARE SO SAD!!! IF ANGIE WENT AND PERMED LIL MAMA'S HAIR YA'LL WOULD BE SAYING "SHE TOO YOUNG FOR A PERM, LOOK AT BRAD AND ANGIE MAKING THAT LIL GIRLS HAIR STRAIGHT"
@MSFASHIONISTA: QUESTION??? YOU ARE SO CONCERNED ON WHAT THIS LIL GIRLS FEELINGS ARE GONNA BE WHEN SHE GETS OLDER BECAUSE SHE IS RAISED IN A MIXED ENVIRONMENT...WHAT ABOUT THE ASIANS KIDS IN THE FAMILY??? HOW DO YOU THINK THEY ARE GONNA FEEL CONSIDERING THEY ARE NOT WHITE??? BIG IDIOT
All this contradiction up and thru here!!
As long as her scalp is clean and healthy, then she's fine. I think they're trying to make a statement by letting her hair run free like it is...
But, there's nothing wrong with it. It's not detrimental to her health. It's just a full head of baby hair, that I'm sure isn't knotted up and dirty. It actually looks clean in the pic. She's too young for braids and even some of the natural things that WE put in our heads.
Give Angelina some credit. I'm sure she takes care of the baby's needs and THAT includes the hair. I think she looks fine. Throw in a bow, head band or hair clip every now and then when appropriate and she'll be just as adorable.
We live in the USA. Where she's from, there may be other kids with their hair in the same condition, however, it isn't a problem there. Why should they change her hair to fit the norm?? How do we know what Zahara's culture requires of a child her age and the upkeep of her hair...
If you wanna make a big deal out somebody's baby, then lets talk about Halle Berry and how she refuses to put AT LEAST some booties on her daughter's feet. I hate seeing barefooted babies outdoors. It looks tacky!!!
Im not a racist...I swear I'm not...But there should be a law or something about white adopting blacks, not a law more like a guideline...It should be mandatory for white peolpe to put these little black nappy head babies around people of their own kind...too many times you see these blacks babies walking around hair all over their head, clothes looking like something off elmos world...IDK Maybe its just me..
Unfortunately it takes awhile for some Negroes to wake up but as time goes on, eventually the truth comes to the surface. Ang doesn't really give a damn about these kids. She's running a major racket with her "non-profit" charities. The "we are the world" thing is a PLOY to rake in millions around the world from public appearances and donations and then spend the loot on "administrative cost". Isn't it funny that she knows how to run a comb through her hair and her daughter's but not this pretty young girl;Zahara? Why does she spike and dye the Asian kid's hair and not her own daughter's. How many Asian parents do you see spiking and dying their children's hair. Even a cave person can figure out( "ME COMB MY HAIR, ME COMB YOUR HAIR") to comb the child's hair AND THAT'S IT! Simply comb it ! No negro foolishness required,JUST COMB HER HAIR, instead of making this pretty girl a public spectacle. Oh and I agree,Shiloh doesn't come close to Zahara in the looks department.
@msdolod or whateva ur name is
hey guess what.. in case U havent NOTICED.. THE TOPIC 2 DAY is ABOUT THE ABOVE CHILD OF COLOR IN TODAYS POSTING
we are not CONCERNED with ASIANS TODAY (we will leave that 4 another day) Lets NOT DIGRESS.. a lil idiotic 2 say what u said.. hmmmmmmmm...... theres a PROBLEM that the adoptive parents need 2 ADDRESS and thats THAT!
She's just a baby. And it don't look like it is locking to me. My daughter locked her daughter's hair and there is a world of difference. You can tell when locking begins. That ain't it. They are probably tryin to keep the child's hair in it's natural state because they don't know what to do with it and let it grow out naturally.
I am The Sofistikatedlade
@MsDoloD81: That is not true. You do not need to twist the hair in order for it to lock. Not combing it and not moisturizing or greasin it for a long period of time will lock it. Some women who have braids in their hair for over 3 months find that their hair starts to lock when they take the braids out. I have had that happen to me and I have seen it in others. Not saying that this is the only means by which the hair will lock, but this is just one example in addition to twisting them using the proper locking cream, lotion, or gel.
I am The Sofistikatedlade
@zebrahead
There's no need to change the texture of the child's hair, JUST COMB IT! We have no idea of the level of education this child is receiving,we're all making assumptions about her care because the parents are rich and famous. Zahara is being shuttled from country to country,school to school.What type of education is she really receiving.Supposedly she has a hip problem and needs to be carried. WTF?? With all their money and resources,you mean to tell me the Pitts can't have that corrected. Give me a break! I just hope these people aren't using her bone marrow for stem cell supplementation.Black people, DO NOT SLEEP ON THE DEPTHS TO WHICH A [EXPLETIVE] WILL SINK IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS! If so, you will do it at your own peril.
I Love angie, and think brad pitt is not fine at all. Why do people think he looks good? David Beckham yes, pitt ill f*ck no he's old and wack.
PLUS!!! With all the millions of dollars they spend and give to charity get that lil girl a hair stylist. She looks like s*it and this is embarrassing. They may not know how to handle ethnic hair, but they can pay someone to. Dreads my a*s
CP3_Lady Flag post Just wondering, when was the last time you saw a Ethiopian with nappy hair? -------------------------------- Here you go.
[link to external website removed]
^^^I think Zahara's hair will look like the model's hair when she gets older. Clearly, Zahara's hair isn't nappy. She has the same curl pattern as the model. Thick, wavy, and curly, but nappy (well, to some it may be)...anytime your hair isn't bone straight, it can be considered nappy. But, there is a "correct texture" for everybody's hair.
[link to external website removed]
^^^Trust, Angelina knows what she's doing. Our ppl like to judge and are quick to judge, while others, have proof and do research to BACK UP what they do BEFORE they do it. The little girl isn't trying to catch a man or look cute for anybody, so she's safe for now as far as her hair goes. When she get older, she can put certain products in her hair to make it shine and enhance her curls.
I_WILL_LEARN_YOU
Your comment to me isn't corresponding to anything I stated above.
I'm the LAST person to exclude values b/c someone is rich!!
I've been talking about hair and nothing but hair. Combing your hair can mean a trillion and one things.
My hair is natural. I spray my mixture of Carol's Daughter Hair Elixir and water on my head when I want it curly or rub organic coconut oil thru my head when I wanna wear my afro. I keep it simple. TO ME, it's COMBED! Even if I don't feel the need to pick out my afro into a perfect ROUND shape.
F*ck what the next person thinks.
@mzarrogance-I have to agree with you 100 percent. natural hair is great, its beautiful, but it also has to be washed, combed and contained. her hair isnt like Shilohs hair or the boys' pin straight asian hair that just falls into place neatly. Zaharas hair needs to be combed and it should look neat. I have friends that have their hair natural and its very well kept. theres no need for her hair to look wild like that. if they dont want to do a pony tail, they could put a head band or scarf, but theres no excuse for it to look like this
you dont see shiloh or the boys with their hair looking all crazy and wild. Angie even gets haircuts for the boys. so why should Zahara have to have a so-called natural look that looks a mess? it looks like its tangled and if you see pics of women in Africa, does their hair look wild like this? is that really how people view africans? we cant use that "women in africa wear their hair like his" excuse. how the hell would any of us know unless we've been there? how many of yall have been there? plus if theyre going to be all culturally accurate with this girl, dress her in african garbm why stop at the natural messy hair? come on now. like I said, she gives the boys hair cuts and Ive even seen pics of Shiloh with bows or head bands in her hair, why cant they put that same effort into Zahara?
@I_WILL_LEARN_YOU
My bad. I see where you were referring to the statement I made about USA and where Zahara is from. Although "change" (the way I used it) meant: combing it the way WE or anyone else thinks it should be styled. I wasn't speaking along the lines of perming or straightening it.
Yes, "changing her hair" can also mean: putting product in it, whether organic or not to accommodate what water and DNA is already doing.
Right now. I don't think there's any need to make a big fuss over a baby's head of hair. It looks combed to me.
@DQC...LOL..Please tell em Ms. Lady. i guess people want her running around looking like venus and serena circa 1998. It looks like they are just running errands so why does she need to have her hair looking cut, layered, and permed up. I guess everybody wants her to be the cover girl for "JUST FOR ME". Trust...I've seen worst when i slide thru Publix and at church.....relax!
gigi2007
I hear what you're saying.
But, if you can pass a comb thru Zahara's head (meanwhile the end result STILL looks like it does in the pic) and it smells good and her scalp is clean, then what's the problem??
You say that we don't know what other culture's do to their hair b/c we haven't been there, then where do your friends get inspiration from??? Forums and pics right?? So, in this case, all we'd need to do is TOUCH Zahara's head and smell it. NOT go to another country or even use THAT as an argument to whether or not her hair is COMBED or not.
Also, there are LOTS of chicks walking around with natural styles, BUT are STILL using chemicals in their heads. Dye, and New Wave IS NOT natural to me. That too, can be negotiable.
So, at the end of the day, we'll ALL have to agree to disagree.
But why is EVERYONE making it seem like Angelina is neglecting her child's head over the other kids...b/c SUBCONSCIOUSLY, the others kids hair texture LOOKS BETTER FROM WHAT OTHERS CAN SEE b/c it's STRAIGHT...? That's your issue, NOT Angelina's.
If it's well-kept and healthy...
Combed OBVIOUSLY doesn't mean the same thing to everyone.
This is a perfect example about white people who adopt African children and don't know how to care for their friends. Don't they have any black friends who they can ask how to care for Zahara's hair.
I hope that when this little girl grows up she curses the shyt out of them both for having her look like a crazy, un-neglicted little wild-child instead of a girl who is being raised by people with so-called intelligence and who have money.
They really should be ashamed of themselves for letting this girl look this way time after time.
@gigi2007
I'm glad you added your second comment because the first comment about YT and Asian's hair falling "neatly" into place had me SMH! Their hair NEEDS to be comb or else they all look like straight up cave ppl.Any of you that have lived with them or slept with them and seen them in the morning would most def cosign,oh and don't let a strong gust of wind blow their way either.If their hair hasn't been gelled down or sprayed with some crap, again it would be straight up cave city. Secondly your point in regards to how African Black women keep their hair is dead on. My avatar displays two African women and take note to how the albino daughter has her hair styled.
I don't think this is the case with Zahara (that they're letting her hair naturally lock). I read in an article somewhere that she and Brad had to consult someone about caring for African American hair (and by the way, Brad loves Carol's Daughter products for Zahara). So what she could be sporting is just the "coiled" look, where you just twist the hair with a setting lotion and when it dries just untwist it and let it go.
This is so beyond ridiculous. What knowledge do you need to realize a girl's hair needs to be combed. Even a dumb animal can learn why can't Angelina Jolie? When she walks around L.A., does she see little Black girl's hair styled that way? When she went to Ethopia to adopt Zahara, did the little girls there have their hair styled that why,I think not. She is making a mockery of the the child plain and simple. Why are some of you so quick to give these people the benefit of the doubt? Maybe they're going natural my ass. Combing one's hair is not demeaning to our Black culture, so let's stop the B.S..No extra hair care products are needed,just a comb for god's sakes. She styled and highlighted the little boys hair,is that natural? Please this woman is full of ish!
@gigi2007 and I_WILL_LEARN_YOU
Good points. Those Africans in your avi I_WILL, all have there hair well groomed. When ever you see little African boys and girls on T.V., their hair is always cut and shaped up.
@zebrahead I know 2 ladies from Ethiopia-they look similar to the lady in the link you provided-beautiful. I consider nappy hair not straight, the kind you need to relax, press, not naturally straight. Tangled hair isn't nappy. I've seen some whose hair look like wool. The point being, I have yet to see/meet a Ethiopian with nappy hair! Most hair is wavy, some thin, alot thick. Nothing wrong with Zahara, now if they had a picture of her with a weave ponytail, it would be all out rage in here. smh
At first i had no problem with this, but it's getting ridiculous if they can take time out to groom themselves and the other kids they should comb Zahara's hair there is no reason for this child to be seen in public with 3mm BB's hanging off her head.....someone needs to contact ASAP to get this problem resolved
I thought I was the only one that thought she looked like a boy in these photos. Has anyone of them heard of a widetooth comb and a soft bristle brush? Ang is supposedly a vegan; does she not know of any natural herbal oils and butters, pomades she could put in the girls hair that will moisturize and soften her hair to make it manageable while nourishing her young tender scalp? My goodness....
There is no way Angelina or Brad would let Shiloh come out of the house the way they let Zahara look and she's not cute.
They need to hire a stylist that can do her hair. They can certainly afford one.
Plus, they stay carrying that child. I know she has rickets, but a lot of people do: they are bow-legged and they manage to walk on their own.
LMBO while reading these comments!
Most of you sound like hypocrites talkin bout how she needs to "comb that childs hair" when some of YOU (and your parents) don't even know how to take of natural black hair! If you did you would know that African hair should very RARELY be combed! It should only be detangled in water so that it doesnt break. All the child really needs an even trim.
Yall need to stop! I bet you there are many people lookin at your hair talkin bout how "nappy" or "dry" it looks
My thing is this all you bitches writin' about how the [EXPLETIVE] looks good, I don't give a [EXPLETIVE] what ya'll say, you know yo' ass is not going out in public looking foolish! I mean its just not gonna happen. Wheter ya'lll wanna admit to it or not, that little girl's head is ridiculous. Her parents have millions of dollars and they won't invest in a brush and a [EXPLETIVE] hair ball to make her [EXPLETIVE] hair look neat and decent. I mean I'm not even gonna say that they won't but that on this particular day they didn't, and she's [EXPLETIVE] off. Now, if I had a daughter that's what I'd do. No [EXPLETIVE]' way would I let her go out of the house with her hair shooting like a damn fire [EXPLETIVE], and I'm about pretty sure neither of you would either. I mean its nothing wrong with going natural, dreds or none of that type of [EXPLETIVE]. However, when she don't have no type of style or neatness about it that is a problem. Now answer me this, how many of you would send your child out in the public eye looking unkempt? EXAAACTLY!! Quit being a bitch, just for the sake of being a bitch...
P.S. DQC... Bitch get a life!! You prolly a triflin' ass mammy. If you'd your daughter or son go out looking anything less than clean, neat, and well put together, your ass needs to be beat!!!
Ciao
some of you are mad saying that they shouldnt be braiding or relaxing her hair at such a young age, but I just saw pics of Angelina and the kids on Perez. Hilton and Maddox has his hair in a mowhawk and its dyed BLONDE! thats NOT natural at all and the boy is only 6 years old! wtf is wrong with this woman? I dont think thats appropriate for anyone to dye a childs hair at that age, I dont care if its temporary or organic or whatever. this woman is simply on her own planet when it comes to her kids hair. then she has Pax lookin like a little girl because his hair is growing out and its all over the place. Shiloh is the only one with neat, decent hair. does Angie see these adopted kids as toys or experiments? you hardly ever see Shiloh out with the rest of them, shes almost the same age as Zahara so its not like shes too young to be out and about. its just that they want to protect her more. the adopted kids are expendable because she didnt birth them, so its ok for them to be out amongst the media frenzy, but little Shiloh is always tucked away somewhere safe. in the pic I saw on Perez. Hilton, poor little Pax had to shield his little face with his arm because the paparazzi cameras were all in his face. Angie needs to stop adopting kids and popping kids out and deal with her own mental health issues before she tries to raise any more kids. we all know that girl wasnt right in the head when she was going around town kissing her own brother and wearing a vile of Billy Bobs blood around her neck. and she admitted to cutting herself and attempting suicide in her younger years. its ok to be eccentric but dont drag your kids into it. and Brad looks like he will go along with whatever.
Goodness me, whens the last time you Black American's seen your own hair textures?
Her hair is clearly combed and brushed it is coiled up unevenly and natural.
Thats what happens to your hair even after a comb is ran through it, it coils back up to your head. African hair isn't even supposed to be over combed the way yall do here anyway it makes it worse. Your supposed to use water.
You guys would crap yourselves if you went to Africa and seen what your hair is really supposed to look like.
Most white people who adopt black children or have biracial children, have a hard time styling and caring for the daughter's hair, properly. They more or less just leave the hair up to its own devices, which isn't a good idea when dealing with hair of a kinkier/coilier texture because the hair has a tendancy to coil around each other, creating massive tangling. The hair in it's natural state must be detangled at least once or twice a week and moisturized at least every other day or everyday, especially if you have a very tight natural curl pattern that tends to be dry. I think Zahara has a beautiful hair texture and from what I can see it looks healthy, right now. The real challenge will come, when she becomes older, age 6 and up and her hair is longer and the texture has changed, slightly.
Now, here is one white man, who seems to know how to style his black daughter's hair. DOn't know why he's using a fork, though lol!
[link to external website removed]
I can't believe some of you are suggesting a relaxer on that that little girl's hair. Do some of you even realize how tender the scalp and hair is at that age?? There's a reason why there are so many little black girls walking around here with snatch-back ponytails by the time they are 8. A relaxer isn't exactly a solution to every hair problem nor does it have to be at all, if you would just take the time to understand your hair. I know it's easier said than done, but once you learn how to work with your hair and not against it, it will make life a whole heck of a lot, easier.
I told y'all Angelina is crazy!
@HiddenAgendaMaybe
How stupid do you sound? Go up and read what I_WILL_LEARN_YOU wrote and the picture of his Avatar. Those are African people with combed hair. NATURAL AND COMBED ! This has nothing to do with texture and simply normal maintenance. gigi2007 basically summed it all up nicely. Angelina is playing games with her adopted children and raising her own child normally. What ever normal may be for her crazy ass.
@Pisces82
That man in that webpage you linked us is absolutely adorable! It makes me feel so happy that a white person (and a man at that) would not just adopt a child and expect them to adapt but actually take the time to research how to manage his black daughter's hair!
To me thats amazing because we can stereotype all day but the fact is that there are some non-black people who are willing to learn how to take care of natural African hair while there are African Americans (on this board) who would rather perm their childs tender hair.
how ironic
God bless Angelina & Brad for what their doin for the children & thank them fm the 10milli they recently donated for causes that have stricken our mother land.
now abt Zahara's hair, they prob are clueless abt what2 do & got so many dang kids its all a blur, aha lol. which is why they need to take that baby up to one them braid shops in crenshaw & let them hook her up. other kids are cruel & will tease her abt her hair so thats perhaps one less thing she gotta deal wit...
Zahara is a cutie. And her hair is fine. Her hair is clearly fine-but for people who may be insecure about their natural hair you probably think diffrently.
and the reason they carry the children all the time when you see them in photos is becuase they are tryna hurry up and get away from the papps. Those people will trample those children. SMH people know nothing and think they know everything. shame.
This beautiful little girl is rarely seen walking because Zahara will require hip surgery due to a condition called Dysplasia. There is a problem of an improper connection between her hipbone & thighbone which could result in limping if untreated & will still require followup therapy. When the actual surgery is to take place is uncertain but this issue explains the oft seen pics of her being carried by Anelina & Brad.
This is all the more reason why I am pleased that this child is in America & in a family of wealth in order to receive top notch medical care when that important surgical time arrives.
Go Angelina & Brad!!
That's not locking. They're just allowing it to be out and curly. Will & Jada let their children go around looking like that for years too. This is not becoming of a young girl growing into her self esteem. Angie's going to have get someone to show her how to do that girl's hair. Her texture is not like Shiloh's or the boys and she can't go around looking like that.
Everybody, check this out:

Someone actually posted a rant on YouTube back in June of this year about the seemingly and constant non-maintenance of Zahara Jolie Pitt's hair. The video is called Zahara's Hair, in case you can't cut and paste.
I'm a longtime Brangelina Fan. But I would have to agree about the way they often allow her to run around looking unkempt like that. I have seen her hair in pigtails and afro puffs before though, but it always looks kind of ragged.
In fact, I once read an article where Angelina complained about how she does do Zahara's hair before she leaves the house when she was going to preschool back when they were living in Berlin, but the child often comes back with it undone. Apparently, like a lot of little black and white girls, the child messes it up herself. Also, it's possible that Z could be extremely tenderheaded and won't let Angie touch it. In another article, Brad mentioned how hard it is to keep up with Z's hair, but he touted the Carol's Daughter line of baby hair care products as being a life saver. So, if they're using that stuff, I don't know what happened here.
I do agree that they should at least hire a black nanny who can do Z's hair, or pluck a hairdresser who can do all the kids' hair.
Damn, come to think of it, singer Wyclef Jean, a good friend of theirs, was in the Daily News gossip section today defending rumors of them breaking up and talked about how happy they are together. Damn, I wish he would feel comfortable enough to tell them about how the black culture feels about seeing a little black girl with undone hair. Hell, come to think of it, he should offer the services of his wife or something. They have an adopted little girl that they named Angelina, ironically. And I bet that child isn't running around looking like that.
If they wanted to keep Z's hair natural for whatever reason, I think the least they could do is maybe put a soft headmand around it or something, so that it would look more tamed.
Oh well. Perhaps with all of the ranting and raving I constantly see on the blogs about this issue, someone -- maybe one of their black friends or associates, would read them, bite the bullet and mention it to them that this is not a good look -- especially for a child that otherwise is soooo beautiful.
Wow, she looks a lot like my niece! But her hair isnt that hard to deal with. My niece hair is like that, and my hair is like that too. All u need is some pink oil moisturizer, damp your hair, and rub it it in their. If u comb it, I watched my sister, comb it from the ends with the detangle stuff. Then she do all this plaiting and parting lol. U dont even have to comb her hair because its naturally curly. U just comb it with your fingers with moisterizer in the hair or leave in conditioner, its thats easy, and im a guy. She needs someone to show her what to do. I see mixed kids walking around looking like that too, not a good look for a little black girl, but she is beautiful!
@sexyE
THE Term "ghetto" was originally created in Europe for the so called Jews to live in.Ghetto and projects were created for that. Project means sticking a certain ethnic people in one complex to see how will they adapt. It amuses me when so called blacks use the terms"ghetto" and "projects" and don't have a clue to where it come from or what it means. The" hood" is what you make it!If a person has no values or morals it has nothing to do with where their from location wise. It's a household thing.
Oh yeah I hope they never put relaxer in that child's hair. All they need to do is wash,condition,put a great moisturizer in her hair comb bottom up and braid it or two strand twist it.Her hair will grow healthy,fast,and long.
What is wrong with you people. There is nothing wrong with this lil girls hair. I've seen dozens of celebrity babies wear their hair like this including Will and Jadas kids and noone ever says anything about them. They are allowing her to embrace her roots. I just wish for once when I saw this child that she would be walking though. She is too big to be carried around.
THATS BECAUSE THEY DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT!!! WHEN YOUR A BLACK CHILD WITH TWO WHITE PARENTS THEY NEVA KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THE HAIR. THEY CAN HIRE ME AND ILL DO HER HAIR AND THEY CAN PAY OFF MY COLLEGE TUITION'S & LOANS CAUSE ANGIE DEF NEED SOME HELP ALL THOSE KIDS SHE GOT. AT LEAST MADONNA WAS SMART AND GOT A BOY CAUSE SHE KNEW SHE DIDN'T KNOW NOTHING ABOUT DOING NO BLACK HAIR........
Some of you guys are ignorant and sound just like slaves with your "good hair" and "she needs a perm" references. Zahara's hair is not locking and not close to it. Could Brangelina do better? Of course, they should bring in a natural haircare professional for Zahara, but unfortunately when white people adopt or give birth to black children they don't consider things like hair upkeep. Zahara is such a cutie, I just pray that Brangelina doesn't confuse her as she grows up.
She is beautiful and her hair is growing. Thats is all that matters. Leave the gurl hair alone, thats how they want it................
SO WHAT IT IS MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO WORRY ABOUT THEN A BABY Hair and thats food,love happiness, shelter and clothes.....
I MEAN FOR REAL, I BET HALF OF YOU IN HERE HAIR IS NOT DONE or BETTER YET NOT EVEN THIS LENGTH. LMAO
As African americans, we should embrace that this couple is not treating this child any different than their biolgical children. when Shiloh is out her hair is combed but tend to look a little messy too. The only reason we are even commenting on how her hair is, is because as a people we have been conditioned to believe how our (african Americans) hair should look according to white america. she does not have straight hair, it's curly, I'm sure when they left out they combed it and it's was clean, but still curly. When they put those lil ponytail on her fine hair, people comment about that too what should they do??? add weave and make her think that is how her is "suppose" to look? what is she 5 or 6? it may have gotten a little messy playin. I'm glad this poor child can not read what is being said about her or she would have a complex and she is going to have enough to worry about growing up around her siblings. We should all embrace our natural hair texture and if YOU don't want to, don't blame others or other peoples parents for embracing their own texture.
Gibby - I agree with you. As African Americans - we put a lot into hair and doing it the way we think it should look. Straight, etc. Adding weaves, etc. Relaxers, etc. Color, etc. Ever notice how Black men's hair (in dreds) can grow faster, longer and stronger than our women's hair. Give you one guess - all the dang chemicals we put in our hair to make it look presentable to each other. She'll have plenty of time to ruin her own hair once she realizes everyone THINKS it should be a certain way.
I am a female and my hair has been natural for 8 years and have been locked for 7 years and nothing in this world will ever make me go back to perm. Now just because the child's hair is natural does not mean that they cannot style it or pay someone to style it with all that money they have. If you are going to take in a child of another culture, you should at least try to learn about them so they dont forget their own roots. My daughter is 3 and does not have a perm but I wil be damned if i let her go outin public lookig like that child in the pic. Natural is beautiful but it can also be tamed.
@ DQC ummm nobody was really paying your dumb comments anymind but i happened to i normally dont give stupid ignorant people like you the time of day but someone needed to. There's always someone on a blog that has to leave the stupid comment or the attention craving comment or the racial comment. I dont know if your black or white but what ever you are your definitely ignorant to sit there and stereo type a whole race/culture on how we do our children's hair you dumb broad! braids are very common in the African American culture because our hair is different from white peoples hair you moron! so to let it be all wild is fine but as for my children who are black and have thick African hair it would break off very easily so I cant let my children's hair go like that getting all knotted; matted and tangled up and so i braid up there hair and i do put beads on there hair for fun. I dont think of myself being a dumb stupid nigg3r for that as you would call me and believe me my kids feel very happy as to know they have a mother who knows how to do there hair and care enough not to have them walking around looking like they just woke out of the bed so if you dont have any thing nice to say and just want to come with drama keep your little racist comments to your self B!TCH!!!
Are half of you NUTS?? You can keep her hair natural but still make it neat. She doesn't have to look like that. She never has pretty little girl clothes either. She's homely to me and you all just do not want to admit it because she is black. Just because she is a black toddler you all are saying she is cute. She is NOT cute and her hair is a mess. It's not nappy so it's no excuse. Just comb it, brush it and moisturize it. Put on a nice little outfit what about some little earrings or hair barrettes.
As a mother, Zahara will begin to recognize her self esteem soon. That comes with her appearance first. Her hair is all over her head. How anyone can say its cute is beyond me.
In Africa, many women either wear scarves on their heads or have braids. This child doesn't need to look like she stuck her hand in a socket but a child. An adult may wear her hair like this and I've seen some, but this is a child we're talking about who has to be around peers.
