: MediaTakeOut.com just caught wind that Beyonce has OFFICIALLY offered her services to president-elect Barack Obama. According to the Associated Press, Bey has said that she's available to sing at Obama's inauguration in January.

I'm hoping to see Stevie Wonder perform, because he's a true Icon, and he's always been politcally vocal. I don't think that Beyonce is the appropriate choice for Presidential Inauguration. I'm not a hater at all, I just think it would be more appropriate for someone like Stevie Wonder or another artist who really can attest for the major change that we have just witnessed. I say the black community give Oprah props because she held Obama down all throughout. When people gave her hell for not featuring Palin on her show, she didn't back down. Say what you want about her, but Oprah has not forgotten where she comes from unlike our former black "royalty" Jay and Bee.

There are no words to express how DISAPPOINTED I would be if President Elect Barack Obama allows this catostrophe. One reason I have gained so much respect for him is because he has not allowed himself to become so prideful of his race that it has clouded his ability to recognize that he reprsents a nation that is extremly diverse. While this is a great accomplishment and we have a monumental reason to celebrate, we can't forget he must represent the ENTIRE nation, not just his black half. That wouldn't make any sense. I mean, I'm glad that this election has been able to have so many entertainers involved but let's face it, most of them are out for who? NUMBER-ONE! Themsleves. Barack Obama is a dignified man who carries the burden of the NATION on his shoulders and has devoted his life to SERVE.

I think this was taken out of context. What probably happened was an interviewer asked her if she would be willing to sing at the inauguration and all that was publicized was her response. Or well, maybe not, maybe she thinks she can offer her 'services' because she hollered the National Anthem a couple of years back at the MLB all star game. I don't know. I believe President Obama would someone much more 'suited' for such an occasion. Meaning he would prefer a class act.
